Washer won't drain or shows OE error? This drain pump assembly removes water during spin cycle. Moderate DIY repair with video guide available.
It was fairly obvious that the washer drainer motor had failed, water was not draining, filter was clean (bottom lower left panel door, have a pail ready!) and drain line was not blocked. Someone had provided great advice on the Appliance Parts Pro's site about replacing the drain motor from the bottom. Great suggestion! Easy to do, although be prepared for more water to drain from the washing machine onto the floor after you lay it over. I carefully lowered the machine onto it's back,... Read more

Seals between inner and outer tubs to prevent water leaks during wash cycles. Replace if you notice leaks or after bearing replacement. Verify fit.
Repair went fairly smoothly by following the EXCELLENT how-to video provided. I had only a few issues and suggestions. 1. Because many of the screws and fasteners are of multiple sizes, I would recommend laying them out in a muffin tray or on a paper with labels for where they go back. 2. After removing the weights and prepping to remove the shock absorbers, after the front ones were removed, the tub tilted so far the rear shock absorber separated. The friction pads fell out. It was easy... Read more
The Magnetic Door Plunger is an OEM part for LG washing machines. It is designed to securely hold the door in a closed position during the operation cycle, employing a magnet mechanism for enhanced reliability. The plunger ensures that the door latch is properly engaged, preventing the machine from running if the door is not closed correctly.
Causes of a bad Magnetic Door Plunger can include wear and tear from constant use, failure of the magnetic mechanism due to exposure to moisture or mechanical damage, or a misalignment that prevents the door from closing properly.
Symptoms of a bad Magnetic Door Plunger include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.
This was a super-easy repair. You have to line up the spring so that it sits on the bumps inside the magnet holder and the door, then you have to line up the tabs on the magnet holder so they will slide into the slots on the door. Then you just push it in. Repair took less than a minute. Read more

Shock absorber kit reduces vibrations and stabilizes the drum during wash cycles. Replace if worn, leaking, or causing excessive movement and noise.
Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. It's amazing we had still been able to wash clothes at all! With the help of the excellent... Read more
Replace your washer door boot seal to stop leaks between the door and tub. Install when you notice water escaping or visible tears. Verify fit by model.
I called an appliance repair company. They use a flat rate billing system which I don't like. They told me it will cost around $250.00 to replace the gasket and I would have to move my machine out so he would have room to repair it. He said the part would be in in 5 days. I found you on line, ordered the part for around $69.00 and to my delight there was a video on how the repairs should be done. The video was very professionally done and I watched it twice just to memorize the procedure. ... Read more
Fix LE error codes and spinning problems with this washer rotor position sensor. Resolves machines that won't spin or make loud noises. Easy 5-10 minute fix.
I watched the Appliance Parts Pro video and saw that it was a job that I could easily do. I ordered the Rotor Position sensor switch for about $21 on a Monday and it was delivered by UPS on Wednesday. The process was straight forward: 1) remove the back cover from the washing machine (4 screws), 2) remove the main bolt holding the magnetic drum on the motor; 3) remove the 6 bolts holding the coil on the motor; 4) remove the ground screw and wire harness clamp screw; 5) take the old sensor... Replacement tub to pump hose for washers. Transports water from the wash tub to the drain pump. Replace if cracked, split, leaking, or damaged from wear.
First and foremost, much thanks to APP for perfect transaction, and incredible price! The part was shipped quickly, and arrived fast. Immediate Availability of the part was outstanding, and truly saved this Canadian's day! See, in Canada, LG has their own unfair practice of NOT ALLOWING a Canadian citizen to purchase ANY functional parts for any of their appliances or products... furthermore, in order to get the part for any issue, you must pay directly for an LG direct service tech to come at... Washer not filling or overfilling? This water level pressure switch monitors water levels and signals when to stop filling. Easy 10-minute DIY repair.
The LG Model LG Washer model WM2487HRMA ISSUE: Washing Machine was filling very slowly. Overnight it would fill about 1 or 2 gallons. I would clear the tub by pushing a) Power b) set spin to None c) push Start. That would empty the tub. REPAIR SOLUTION: That did not solve the problem. Second, I replaced both the single (1) Water inlet valve assembly Part Number:5220FR2006H and also the Water Level pressure switch Part Number:6601ER1006E That solved the problem. Central hub that connects the inner tub to the drive shaft in washers. Replace if corroded, cracked, or arms have broken off causing wobble or imbalance.
Looked online at several websites to see if I could figure out the problem Came across AppliancePartsPros video on replacing bearings. Watched it a couple of times and determined (well, guessed) it was the bearings and/or spider. Followed the video (great job by the way) and disassembled the washer. The spider was cracked on one arm so ordered a new one from this site. I also ordered two new bearings and the bearing seal b/c learned from the web and local appliance store that they go bad in 7+... Read more
