I have a large Samsung 4 door refrigerator. One of the rear wheels broke. To replace it, you need the wheel and the shaft. To lift the refrigerator for the repair, I had my wife stand in front of it with her foot on a board that was wedged against the front wheels. I then pushed the refrigerator up from behind and slid a 3/4" piece of plywood underneath the bottom with my foot. This gives you enough space to do the repair. Samsung refrrigerator. it started when the setting was on cubes but was putting out crushed ice. then months later the water refill was running down into the ice bucket causing a massive block of ice in the bucket. look closely at the first two or three cubes in the ice tray after they unload. mine were not dumping and staying in the tray. when the water refill kicked on it would overfill the tray (because of the leftover cubes remaining in the tray) and would run down into the ice bucket... I removed the door and the hinge assembly from the right side; it turns out the grommet had never been installed and this is what was causing the door to grind down the metal hinge. It was remarkably easy to replace and my door is working perfectly! Read more

Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in... Read more

Verified that the water line had flowing water, check. Removed lower screen and vacuumed and cleaned all dust. Proceeded to test water flow to the valve and beyond the valve. I replaced the temperature sensor, the thermo fuse, and the heating element that thaws the evaporator on a cycle to keep the evaporator from freezing up. The most time consuming part of the repair was waiting for the fridge to thaw out so that I could remove the cover. I disconnected the fridge the night before and placed a fan on low with the doors open so that it was thawed out when I awoke. Used the video with the parts and replaced the wheels. The only thing we did wrong was using the front wheel axle instead of the back wheel axle on the back wheels. I called our local appliance repair shop. Because it was the Friday before the Labor Day weekend, they were not able to make a service call before the following Tuesday. After viewing the 'how to' video on Appliance Parts Pros, I ordered a replacement hinge plate and pin. The part arrived the following day, Saturday, and it took all of ten minutes to replace the hinge and remount the door. Repair required removing all of the interior drawers & shelves and the interior back panel. There you will find the defrost heater. Behind the defrost heater is a metal plate as well as one on the back of the front interior cover. Both were corroded and in need of replacement. I ordered Samsung part #’s AP5577767, plate drain & AP5587916, evaporator plate and replaced both. Read more

The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh.. Be sure to keep track of all your screws.
