Took a bit to diagnose. First tried cleaning coils but the problem still persisted. Next took of the back panel and put the system into diag mode. (Press energy save button and fridge button for eight seconds system ding once a second and inverter board red LED will blink a code or be on solid if no issue. • Light not working

First, I modified old butter knife by bending a 90° angle about 3/4" from the tip. I slid the bent in up under the bottom of the switch cover and worked it to one side. I then rotated the knife downward using the bent end to pry the cover off. The switch is held by plastic arms on each side. The bottom right arm has a locating pin that fits into the switch. Purchased both the ice maker assembly and the valve assembly to replace the parts as needed. replaced the ice maker assembly first, and this fixed my problem. Took about 10 minutes, mainly because I didn't watch the YouTube video first. Had I watched that, it would have probably taken even less time. One Philips head screw driver is all you need. I have a large Samsung 4 door refrigerator. One of the rear wheels broke. To replace it, you need the wheel and the shaft. To lift the refrigerator for the repair, I had my wife stand in front of it with her foot on a board that was wedged against the front wheels. I then pushed the refrigerator up from behind and slid a 3/4" piece of plywood underneath the bottom with my foot. This gives you enough space to do the repair. I replaced the temperature sensor, the thermo fuse, and the heating element that thaws the evaporator on a cycle to keep the evaporator from freezing up. The most time consuming part of the repair was waiting for the fridge to thaw out so that I could remove the cover. I disconnected the fridge the night before and placed a fan on low with the doors open so that it was thawed out when I awoke. After discovering that our leaking fridge was caused by a plastic water storage tank I went on the hunt to find a replacement. Sadly there is no replacement available instead you have to purchase the entire filter tank assembly. Since I only needed the tank I carefully took apart the new unit and removed the tank. In order it SHOULD be done: Pried off two white caps covering the screws that attach the flap to the left door, then removed screws. Lifted flap up to remove from door and disconnected cable. Used a thin blade to pry out the inner cover of the flap, then carefully pried out the insulation piece inside. Loosened the screw holding the center cap from the inside and removed cap. Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in... Read more

I started by replacing the water filter assembly since it was leaking after I attempted to install a non-name-brand filter. The new assembly didn't fix the problem (but was hard to find, and AppliancePartsPros was amazing in being able to get one). Further, while replacing that I noticed that the previous owner had literally cut out the grounding pin from the power cord. I decided to replace the power cord and the Ice Maker Assembly. Used the video with the parts and replaced the wheels. The only thing we did wrong was using the front wheel axle instead of the back wheel axle on the back wheels. I will just order two more front wheel axles which are longer than the back axle. Thank you for the video, it made this repair easier. Read more
