• Ice maker dispenses too much ice

The blower motor that circulates air through the refrigerator was broken. I had to remove all the shelving and drawers from the refrigerator. Then I had to remove the plastic light cover from the center of the fridge. Then I removed all visible screws to uncover the evaporator/radiator. I then unplugged the light bulb and motor wires. I took all the items out of the refrigerator. Removed the screws that hold the cover over the evaporator motor. Than for three hours used a hair drier to remove ice. The panel was frozen on if you pull on it it will break. Soaked up all the water removed the panel and took the fan blade off. That was difficult because it looks like a regular screw head however, you need to push in that which will cause it to release the blades and than push it onto the new motor. Removed the old shelf and replaced it with the new one. Less than two minutes. Read more

Removed the bottom shelf by releasing the 2 clips near the water filter, then lifted the front of the shelf and slid it out. Removed 2 screws from the broken Vegetable Rail and replaced it with the new one. Slid the shelf back into place and locked it down into the clips. Done. Took longer to remove everything from the shelf than it did to fix it. Less than 5 minute repair. Read more

I removed the broken rail saving the 2 Phillips head screws for installation of new drawer rail. Removal of the shelf above the drawers was required and was accomplished by pushing a button on the front of the shelf support. The installation was a snap and took about 10 minutes after removal of food items. The part was the correct one as verified by the model number on the inside of the refrigerator door. Bought new case-ice-route from AppliancePros.com for Samsung Refrig RF267ABRS. Part arrived intact and on-time. On my Samsung model, the original part has a chute (clear piece) with a molded channel for the water dispensing tube to sit in. The new part did not have this molded channel in the clear piece hence I took a rasp and carved it out. After some minor filing, completed the R&R and everything works great.
