Bob October 30, 2012 for Model Number GLTF2940FS2 Fridigdaire Gallery series front load washer beeps and displays E90. I googled this and found it is a 'general' error code indicating loss of communication between the control panel and 'main board'. My first question is what is the 'main board'? Is this the motor control board? I removed the front panel and reseated all the connectors on the control panel. After reassembly, it *may* work once but then reverts to displaying 'E90'. I've reseated every connector (and cleaned every pin) multiple times but I cannot get the error to resolve permanently. Any suggestions?

It does not indicate where the problem may be. A power glitch may have caused the E90 error code or a loose connection. One of the control boards could have failed. If it did not clear by unplugging the washer". The "main" control board is located behind the control panel on the front of the washer 137006000 the motor control board 134743500 is located inside the cabinet, mounted to the washer base plate/frame. The first step to take is check and clean all the wiring connections at both boards, electrical contact cleaner will be a good source for cleaning any connections or pins on the boards or in the harness. William S October 22, 2012 for Model Number LTF2940ES3 Hello, I have been having trouble with my washing machince for some time now. It first started when the machine would stop in the middle of the cycle all by itself, and then the LED screen would read PAU, and if you tried to hit any buttons it then gave an ERR for Error. We did the diagnostic tests and were able to get the error code E41 which said the control board thinks the door switch is open. The washer still worked by we would periodically need to turn the machince off, turn the dial to the start position (touch-up) let it set for a little while and turn it back on, it would then work for a little while and we would do the same process. Now, all I can get is the PAU on the LED display, even if I unplug the machine, let it set and re plug it in on the start postion, I only get the PAU and if I try to hit the cancel button it just gives the ERR code. Is this the control board? In the Tech Data sheet provided it states its either the door switch or the control board. Which control board is it, the one with the buttons on top of the machine, or underneath the machine, the motor control board? Thanks! Bill S
1 Answer Bill, The E41 error, does indicate an issue with the door latch assembly 131763256, " E41 Control board thinks the door switch is open. Test 7: Remove the door lock assembly and measure the resistance of the PTC. Shorted or open. Defective door lock assembly. Around 1500Ohms. Defective control board." Rich October 22, 2012 for Model Number GLTF2940ES0 My front load washer is seven years old. The problem I have with the machine is the machine cuts off about halfway through the wash cycle. The drum is half full of water, so obviously nothing is draining. The error code was E23. I replaced the Control Board, printed circuit, with housing (part 134523103). the washer did the same thing again. I put the old control board back in and replaced the Control Board, motor (part 134409902). the washer did the same thing again. it is still showing E23 as the error code. Now the digital display does not coincide with the dial indicator (it is set on Drain and Spin yet shows 55 minutes on the digital display, which is a Normal Wash cycle time) I'm getting tired of this. What else could be the problem?
1 Answer Hi. E23 code is a drain pump relay on the control board code. But realize all codes are specifically set for a specific issue including all the components such as the board, Wire connections, and wires to the device. The pump part # 137221600 has to drain all the way while the door latch part # 131763256 is closed for safety. So remove the front lower panel and empty the drain catch (mounted behind the screw off 3" cover). Use towels and a shop vac to pick up all the water, there will be a lot (trust me). If the pump impeller spins loose on the pump shaft,replace it as well if it is clogged with water in the armature. Past the seal and ruined the pump. W.S. October 22, 2012 for Model Number LTF2940ES3 Hello. I have been having problems with my washer for some time now. It first started giving us problems when it would turn on by itself and say PAU, in the LED screen. Once that happened, if you tried to push cancel or any button if would give the ERR error code. We ran the diagnostic and got he E41 error code but the washer would still work. A few times the washer didnt finish its cycle, more times than not it would get stuck on 1 at the end of the cycle. Then if you tried to cancel, it would give the ERR code again. We would then shut it off, turn the dial to the start position (touch-up) and it would work normally most the time for a cycle or two but then go back to the same problem. I messed with the door switch and tried a continutiy test on the plug J2 and could only get a reading of 1 therefore I think its the control board, is that the correct thinking?. In the washer tech data sheet it says to replace the control board, is that the electronic control up top or the motor control board underneath the machine? Please Help!
1 Answer Hi. E41 code is the door latch part # 131763256. It will bring up the PAU(se) code and ERROR codes when it is not latched fully. It is a 2 stage latch system that the control board part # 137006000 monitors for safety. Tom October 20, 2012 for Model Number LTF2940es0 Washing machine starts to fill for about 3 seconds then shuts off and tries again for 3 seconds water enters but not up to the desired level. Also drum never begins to spin. Is this a bad control board or water sensor?

1 Answer Hello Mitch. The code is for Sud: The unit has sensed there is too many suds in the unit it will flush and pump out for 5 min and restart on its own. This is caused by too much soap use. If too much detergent was used: —Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle. —Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent. 1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. R.S. October 05, 2012 for Model Number GLTF2910ES0 Washing machine quit working part way through a normal wash cycle. The no spin light was on then machine totally shut off. Checked the error code and it showed an E23 which which is the pump relay. Replaced the control board with a new one. Now when I plug it in, all the lights, door lock, rinse. final spin, and control, flash for 9 times then pause and then repeat. Machine also shows an error code E90. Tried resetting the control panel by holding down the pause/cancel button for 15 seconds but that did not clear the problem. Also unplugged the power for 15 minutes and then plugged it back in but the problem still exists. Any thoughts on what is going on? Is the new board bad?

The manufacturer recommends unplugging the washer for at least 30 minutes to reset the computer. It could be you have a momentary glitch causing some problems. Remove the front panel and on the right side at the bottom, you’ll find the main Circuit board. There is a connector on the harness that needs to be making a tighter contact. Make sure that all the wires that are in contact with the circuit board are firmly connected. The E-23 fault code was indicating that the drain pump relay n the control has failed.
