James July 05, 2012 for Model Number du940pwkto I checked the thermal fuse its good and the heating element does work so im all good the but what it does is it seams like only a few of the buttons want to work and when i close the door it just sits there and buzzes never turns the water on or nothing and the heating element gets real hot is it the board or the water valve acting up?
1 Answer Hello James. You need to check and see if the float assembly is stuck in the up position causing the valve not to come on. If there is power to the water valve, but no water enters, and the water is on, replace the water valve W10844024. For the issue of some of the buttons not working, you will need to replace the control panel 8275206. Read More...

Tom June 22, 2012 for Model Number KUDS25SHAL1 My dishwasher starts by itself. The cancel button light and the child safety light will then flash constantly. I have turned the power off to the machine for 20 minutes and then repowered it and the same thing happens. If I leave the door open it does not do this. Do I need the electronic control assembly or the control panel
1 Answer Hello Tom. If there are lights flashing, and the unit starts on it's own, you will need to replace the control panel W10757838 on the unit. Read More...
Amy June 18, 2012 for Model Number DU941PWKB! My dishwasher over flowed and did not reset itself. I have power inside and outside, (120volts). The dishwasher will not work. Where can we start to fix it?
1 Answer Hello Amy, This sounds like you either have low water pressure to the unit or the water inlet valve W10844024 has failed. Read More...
Kerry W. June 15, 2012 for Model Number kitchen aid kuds25shbs1 My dishwasher was working fine, then, no lights at all will come on, on the front panel. I have 120v going to my control board. has the control panel gone out or something else? Thanks, Kerry
1 Answer Hello Kerry, You need to check the thermal fuse 675796. You can just check both sides to ground and if voltage is present on both sides, check the door switches 4318273. This model uses one switch for 120Vac and the other for neutral. Since you said you have 120Vac to the board, you need to check the other switch that carries neutral. You can use the hot terminal to test to so you will see a reading. Using the hot terminal as the reference for the test, go to both sides of the door switches and the one that shows 120Vac is the switch for neutral. It needs to read the 120Vac to both sides of this switch when the switch is closed. If this tests good, the control WP8530929 will be at fault. Read More...
Rob A. May 29, 2012 for Model Number KUDR25SHWH1 I have the same issue as everyone else ... blinking Child Lock light that won't go out. There are multiple questions on this forum about the same issue. Answer to some is replace the control panel. Others say replace the circuit board. I have tried pressing Energy Saver Dry for a long time, downpowering for hours, and pulling and re-stalling the circuit board. Which part is it ?
1 Answer Hi Rob. CONTROL LOCK: The Control Lock light is turned on and all keys of the keyboard are disabled whenever the Control Lock feature is invoked by the customer. The Control Lock feature (and light) can be turned on or off by the customer at any time by holding down the Air Dry option key for 4 seconds. STUCK KEY: If the control detects that a key is stuck in the depressed position, dishwasher operation will be suspended and the control will flash the light for that key until the condition is corrected. If a key without a light is stuck or multiple keys are stuck, the control will flash the Lock-Out light. Keypad part # WP9744109. Thank You. Read More...
Wayne H. May 04, 2012 I purchased part #AP3175633 for my Kenmore dishwasherThe model # is 66515979992 and the serial # is FJ4705251. The part did not fix the problem. The problem is the following lights are dimly lit, washing, heated drying, rinsing, and lock. What else could the problem be? The drain cycle will still work and drain the washer. Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello Wayne. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel WP9744497 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Wayne H May 02, 2012 for Model Number 66515979992 I purchased control panel AP3175633 but the problem stil hasn't changed. The buttons on the control panel are dim. The buttons are normal wash, heating, rinsing, drying, and lock. The motor for the drain cycle works and will drain the washer. I was told the control panel is bad. The model # is 66515979992 and the serial # is FJ4705251. What could the problem be if the new control board didn't help?
1 Answer Wayne, The "LED" button lights on the panel are part of the control panel WP9744497, not the control board WP8530929, as long as you have 110-120 VAC, into the control board, then the issue is, a loose connection on the "ribbon" between the control board and the control panel, or the LED circuit is failing in the control panel. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Kelly April 24, 2012 for Model Number KitchenAid KUDS25HAL0 Like many others, my child lock light started blinking a week ago and the dishwasher will not operate. I tried the Energy Saver Dry reset procedure, turned off the breaker and removed the Electronic Control Assembly to see if I could get it going again. The ECA looks clean and the ribbon cable is not pinched or damaged. Do I need to replace the Electronic Control Assembly listed on this page or the Control Panel Assembly? The dishwasher is the Biscuit color, so I do not want to replace the Control Panel with a black one. Thanks, Kelly
1 Answer Hello Kelly. Try holding the button for 10 seconds and see if it unlocks. If not, you will need to replace the control panel W10757838. The Almond and biscuit are no longer available for the unit and you have to use black. Read More...
