1 Answer Jeff, When under "normal" operation, the water level switch WP34001324 inputs to the control board determines when the drain pump will run. If the switch doesn't reset to the empty position or senses suds in the water, the control will send power to the drain pump, to reduce the possibility of a "flood" or will fill and drain to remove the suds from the tub. You'll also want to check the air tube between the switch and the tub, if it's clogged, kinked, twisted it will restrict the air flow and cause the switch not to reset. It could also be a faulty relay on the control board, but check the switch and air tube first. Read More...
Tanya B July 31, 2015 for Model Number Mah87100aww We are receiving E3: message and it stops during cycle and will not continue a technician came out to check our washer said we needed part 34001484 mem sens part number to be fixed. We have no earthly idea where to put this part. We've taken apart the front panel facing of the washer it doesn't look like the part goes there. We just need to know where do we put this part and if anything additional goes along with this part in order to install it. Please help we are drowning in laundry.
1 Answer Tanya, The mems sensor will go on the bracket that goes across the top of the unit under the main top. If there is not one there currently then you would need the kit which would be part number 34001494 if the serial number starts with 10 or 11. The part number would be WP34001495 if the serial number starts with 12 or higher. If there is already a sensor on the unit on that bracket then you would just need the sensor. Read More...
Michael July 11, 2015 for Model Number NFWW7200TW10 Voltage is reading correct to the drain pump, installed a new drain pump and I am still getting the ND error code, what's next?
1 Answer Michael, With the unit still getting a ND error after the drain has been replaced, make sure that all lines are clear. Check the pressure switch hose and air dome to make sure that it is not clogged. You will also want to check the pressure switch, it could be that the pressure switch is not resetting which would cause this issue. If all these check ok then the control board would be the issue. To test the pressure switch you will check at the main control board and check the following. Check Voltage at Pin #6 and #7 of CN3 Reset water level = DC2.5V, 25.8KHz Check Voltage and Frequency at Pin #6 and #8 of CN3 Reset water level = DC2.5V, 25.8KHz Read More...
Don May 23, 2015 for Model Number MAH9700AWW My water temperature does not work. I now get the code hr (water control problem) I have changed both valves and the control board. What is the correct part I need to change?
1 Answer Don, The HR error code is a heater relay failure. The control board 34001496 would have this heater relay on it. If this control board has been replaced then you will want to check the wiring between the heater and the control board and then test the heater and the thermistor to make sure that they are good. Bobby November 20, 2014 for Model Number Amana NFW2700TW I recently received an Amana front load washer that had had the shocks to pull through the outer case. I was told that a shock had frozen up and caused this. My question is, "could a Pcb mims sensor have caused this also?
1 Answer Bobby, The sensor would not have any bearing on the shock seizing. You will want to replace the shocks on the unit. Read More...
Don November 05, 2014 for Model Number MAH8700AWW I received a 'ND' code. There is no power to the drain pump. Do I need the entire control board or just a MEMS sensor? The unit will complete all cycles if I supply 120v to the pump directly. There is no power between the Pin #1 of CN5 and Pin #6 of CN10 on the current control board.
1 Answer Hello Don. Make sure the wiring harness is good. If so, then the board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Art June 05, 2014 for Model Number NFW7200TW The problum I am having is the pump starts and stops and trys again to start and stops, then go's in to nd code after while. I checked the voltage going to the pump, it is fluctuating. Is there another control for the pump? Everything else seems to operate just fine.
1 Answer Hello Art. If the unit is not draining, it is the pump, not the board. The voltage will go on and off because it is trying to start the pump. WPW10273828 is the board if you need it. Read More...
Simon November 12, 2013 for Model Number mah8700aww After the water was fill up and drum was rotated 4 times the washer stop working and display show me error cod E3. Please help me.Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Simon. E3 is motor or control board failure. If the unit is turning, replace the board. If no movement, replace the motor on the unit. Read More...
Blaine October 04, 2013 for Model Number mah8700aww My Maytag Neptune does not drain. Pulled of back and disconected hoses and checked pump and had no resrictions. During wash cycle it stops at spin and gives ND code but when this comes up and I shut power off and let set for a couple of minutes then choose "Spin Only" the washer will run thru cyle and spin cloths dry. I belive I need a control board the serial number of washer is (S)12535302GT. Can you help me out, I dont wont to order a board from you until I ask first. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Blaine. Test for power to the pump first. If there is power there, and the pump does not run, you need to replace the pump. This is more common than replacing the board for this issue. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Gw April 08, 2013 for Model Number MAH9700AWW I did the check for motor failure and the OHMS on all points was 11.3, you say it's supposed to read 11.6, Does this mean my motor is bad?
1 Answer Hello GW. No, that is a good reading on the motor. It sounds like the board may be the issue with the unit. Read More...
