Gw April 01, 2013 for Model Number MAH9700AWWMAYTAG On the spin cycle is shows the error code 3E but it does not do it every time. It does it maybe 3 out of 5 times, can you help me with this?
1 Answer GW, The 3E indicates a motor failure (Over current). This means that over current is detected and the motor won't turn. You will want to check the motor windings, the speed sensor, wiring connections and control board. The tech sheet that is located in the unit will tell you how to check. Any 2 pins on the motor connector should read 11.6 ohms. Pin 1 to 2, pin 2 to 3 and pin 1 to 3 on the CN9 connector of the main control should read 11.6 ohms. If outside the range then the motor is bad. Read More...

Chuck February 26, 2013 for Model Number nfw7200tw I'm getting a E2 error on the display and washer will not operate at all. the machine stopped with the basket full of water. What does this code mean?
1 Answer Chuck, The error code E2 indicates that there is a stuck key on the control. You will want to unplug unit for 30 minutes. Plug back and if the code returns then you will need to replace the keypad. Read More...
Danish H February 16, 2013 for Model Number IFW7200TW my washing machine goes through the wash cycle, and stops at rinse and spin the pump does not kick on for it to drain. I have taken the pump off and wired it direct and it works fine, i also checked all lines and tub for blockage. I also check the voltage in the wire coming in pump from control board and it is 118 V. I but machine doesn't drain and error comes is "nd". is it pump/control board or reactor?
1 Answer Hello Danish, If you are getting proper voltage to the drain pump it may be that the vanes on the impeller are bad and you would need a new pump. Read More...
Witold January 19, 2013 for Model Number mah6700aww S#15077558le Everything in the machine is fine until it has to drain. Then we have to pump the water out and the washer works fine. And then it moves on to the next cycle. We checked the pump and its working but the output from the control board is 120 v but the pump only gets 20 v. What could be the problem? could it be the MEMS sensor or door switch?
1 Answer Hello Witold, If you are only getting 20 vac to the pump then you need to check the wiring. To go from 120 vac from control board and only have 20 vac then you would have a shorted wire, loose or broken connection somewhere in the wire harness and will have to trace the wire to find it. Gary December 31, 2012 for Model Number nfw7200tw my washing machine goes through the wash cycle, rinse and spin but the pump does not kick on for it to drain. I have taken the pump off and wired it direct and it works fine, i aslo checked all lines and tub for blockage. Do you think the problem is in the control board? thank you for your time and help, Gary
1 Answer Gary, You may be correct, power to the drain pump is from the main control board WPW10273828 But, you should run the diagnostics and board output tests first, listen, feel or observe if the drain motor runs or that you have voltage to the drain pump motor in the test mode WP34001340, before you install a control board. John October 19, 2012 for Model Number nfw7200tw What does the Pcb mems sensor do.I had a repair guy out to look at my washer for knocking noise during the high speed spin cycle. They replaced the shocks on my machine about three months ago.Took care of problem for about a month or so knocking noise came back. Now he thinks it is the control board.Could it be a bad shock? Or the PCB mems sensor no codes are coming up on display.
1 Answer John, in short, the "mems" sensor acts as an "off balanced" load system. Instead of the washer continuing to spin, based on motor torque, if there is enough movement in the cabinet,in the event of an off balance load, it will reduce speed, and attempt to re balance itself. The control board or sensor is not likely the issue. There is a remote possibility that the control board or mems sensor is bad, but very remote. it's most likeley a shock, and possibly a loose or broken spin basket support arm. Read More...
Haole July 01, 2012 for Model Number MAH6700A I am continually getting a cycle interruption that brings up a code of 3E,and it seems to be just before a spin cycle. to get it running again, I open the door and move the clothes around then close the door, push the button to resume. Sometimes it works, when it doesn't, I can here about 5 ticks, 5 seconds more, another 5 ticks, 5 seconds then maybe 6 ticks, by the 6 or 7 set, if it doesn't start, then the chime starts and the code given is 3E. My suspicion is the spin cycle sensor is faulty because when itdoes work everything seems to be fine, the tumble motion and spin work great. It only seems to happen when it tries to do spin cycle. Again, 3E code.
1 Answer Hello Haole, This sounds like a motor or motor control issue. Note the service manual I've included in the attachment. I've included a second manual which only partially applies to your unit. The manufacturers refuse to make a complete service manual on any particular unit, as they say it saves them time and money to make generalized manuals that vaguely cover multiple units. Please let us know if we can provide further assistance. Read More...
Val June 18, 2012 for Model Number Inglis/Whirlpool IFW7200TW What is the function of Pcb (mems) Sensor? My washer shows error message "ND" (no drain). My drain pump is not getting any power but it works fine if I connect it directly to an AC outlet. I think the problem is with the Pcb (mems) Sensor? I tested other parts related to this error (according to the manual): User Interface board, Trans-reactor & drain pump and they seem to all work fine.
1 Answer Hello Val. You need to check and see if there is any bad wires on the unit. If not, you will need to replace the electronic control WPW10273828. This is what sends power to the drain pump assembly. The sensor WP34001484 is used to detect vibration in the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Hi joe. The motion sensor part # WP34001484 does not come with the wire harness part # 34001319. Thank You. Read More...
