For Whirlpool Replacement Icemaker (Part Number: OEM12405033)

Seenski for Model Number MZD2766GEW

Although my Matag refridgerator is a bit on the older side, it has been running great with the exception of my ice maker. After a busy 4th of July party and constant use, the ice maker is now not working. It froze over and my husband took it out, cleaned it and removed the frozen ice cubes that weren't released. He plugged it back in and we hear it going through its cycles but no water seems to be denspencing; thus no ice cubes. We check the water connection and all seems fine. We figure we are finally in need of a replacement icemaker and wanted your advise. Thanks!

Hello Seenski. Check and make sure the fill tube coming to the icemaker is not froze over. If it is clear, you will need to test and see if the icemaker is sending power to the water valve when cycling. If there is no power to the water valve, you will need to order a new icemaker D7824706Q. If there is power to the water valve, but no water, you will need to order a new water valve 61005626. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello Barry. Check and make sure the refrigerator is level. Also make sure the icemaker is level. If so, you can adjust the amount of water coming into the icemaker. Remove the cover and on the right side you will see a small white plastic screw. Turn this screw to adjust the amount of water coming into the icemaker D7824706Q. Hope this helps.

Michael, If you have the original ice maker in the unit, yes, there is a blaack coating in the mold to help release the ice cubes. It is not harmfull, by law it cannot be. Replacing the icemaker assembly, will solve the problem. Thanks and Good Luck.

Hello Cas! The manufacturer does not offer a filter available for your Kenmore refrigerator model 106.73182302. Has any food spoiled in the freezer or refrigerator lately? If so, the ice could have accumulated the odor therefore, having a bad taste. Thanks!

Hello Anthony. If there is ice melting in the front of the auger bucket, you will need to check and see if the flapper inside the dispenser is broken. If it is loose or broken, you will need to replace the door chute repair kit 8201756. If the flapper is not broke, you will need to check and see if the icemaker is overfilling and running into the ice bucket. If so, you will need to replace the water valve 4318046. Hope this helps.

Sweety, You are sure you installed the bale arm in the shut off coupling properly WP627792 you have to insert it and "snap" it in palce. It should lock in the up position if you installed it correctly. All of the switches are part of the front control module W10190935, so that would be where you'd want to begin, next. Good Luck.

Hi Fred. Please remove the bottom kick panel from under the doors. This will access you to the technician wiring diagram and tech. sheet. This will help you diagnose which part might have failed. The infrared sensors do "see' the amount of ice in the ice bucket. This part # is W11629974. This is a kit which contains both emitter and receiver control boards. Thank you.
