Greg September 09, 2019 for Model Number WTW6800WW1 I just replaced the bearings and seal. I used the much needed tool kit. I am down to installing the rotor and it goes on easily with the help of the magnets. When I attempt to install the rotor bolt it seems to not be long enough. I have all the shaft spacer and bearings in place. The nut for the shaft is on and pretty snug. The shaft turns pretty easily. The threads on the nut appear to be only 1/8-1/4 from threading into the shaft. Can you shed any light on what is incorrect? Thank You!
1 Answer Hello Greg, the shaft is one standard size so is the rotor bolt, if you are coming up short, recheck the kit install, you may need to tap the driveshaft from the top as per the video to get it correctly positioned. Read More...
Doug February 09, 2019 for Model Number Maytag MVWB725BWO Is the rotor mounting screw available separately from the rotor or do I have to purchase the rotor assembly to get the screw? Thanks, Doug
1 Answer Doug, The bolt would not be available separately and will need to get the motor rotor 280146. Read More...
Wade November 17, 2018 for Model Number WTW7340XW2 I keep getting a "F 51" error code on my Whirlpool Cabrio Washer. I have replaced the Whirlpool W10178988 Sensor 4 times already. Each time I have taken the Motor Rotor off, I have noticed that it has worked it way loose. Can the loose Motor rotor cause a "F51" error because of the lack of connection with the stator? Today I once again replaced the sensor and now I am having difficulty replacing the rotor and locking it in place. It appears that it will not seat on the drive bolt correctly. What are my best options??
1 Answer Wade, The manufacturer says that this could be a rps sensor failure or lower harness problem. Check the wires for any damage or loose connection and yes if your rotor is backing off it could be the problem. The rotor is sometimes difficult because of the magnets. Make sure it is straight on the stator and try some Loctite on that bolt. Read More...
Marty August 09, 2018 for Model Number WTW8800YC1 My motor rotor wiggles on the shaft after tightening down the center bolt completely. Is that a sign to replace the motor rotor?
1 Answer Hello Marty, I would recommend replacing both the motor rotor 280146 and bolt at the same time. Read More...
Jim March 17, 2018 for Model Number mvwb850yw1 I replaced the tub bearing kit in model mvwb850yw1. When I finished it, it wouldn't run a load without putting out the UL code. I've done over a dozen of these in the past couple years without any problems. So I replaced the rotor positioning sensor. No change. I replaced the bearing kit, the stator, and the main board, all with no change. Then I found someone wrote about the same problem and found their rotor was loose. My rotor wasn't loose, but I tried another rotor and it works fine. My question is what does the rotor positioning sensor read on the rotor ? The magnetism, the spaces between the magnets? Knowing this would help me understand the reason for the problem. Thanks.
1 Answer Jim, The RPS sensor will count the amount of times the magnets go past the sensor. Read More...
Carl March 02, 2017 for Model Number Kenmore Oasis washer 110.28032701 When my washer has a full heavy load (towels) it gets very loud in the spin cycle. Normal loads are nowhere near a loud. The noise is a whirring type of sound, almost like the drum is spinning to fast.

Chris December 10, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore 110.27072602 There is a leak (dripping) underneath the unit coming through the holes in the motor rotor. The unit is also extremely loud, making me think the bearings have gone
1 Answer Chris, This issue would be caused by a tub seal leak and the bearings being defective. The parts that you would need to repair this would be Tub and bearing kit W10435302 Tool for bearing kit W10447783. Read More...

Grizz May 02, 2016 for Model Number Mvw8700vq0 My machine starts and then shuts off and flashes a code f01
1 Answer Grizz, The F1 error code means that the pressure signal is out of range. Check the pressure hose connections from the tub to the machine/motor control board. Make sure that the hose in not plugged, pinched, kinked or leaking air. If this checks ok then the control board is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
