John December 21, 2015 for Model Number AP3094543 This is the part number I need to install; however, after I removed the agitator, I cannot get the cam and retainer off the agitator---it simply will not "slide out" as you say in a previous answer or in your video. Ir appears to be stuck in there somehow. Any suggestions as to how to remove it? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello John. You will need to stand on the bottom of the agitator and jerk up ward to separate the 2 pieces. Read More...

Cory September 30, 2015 for Model Number LSQ9659PWO My upper agitator is not working. I have watched your video and disassembled my agitator. I believe I have the "Short Cam Agitator" which I believe to be part #285809. My question is: when I disassembled my unit I have a white plastic ring that is flat with several "teeth" protruding from one side of the flat disc (ring). This part is included in the medium cam kit with part #285811. Mine appears to be in fine working order......but I am not sure where it goes! Can you help? I've looked at the parts diagram online but I cannot tell which part it is in the diagram. Thank you, Cory
1 Answer Hello Cory. The ring goes on the top of the bottom part of the agitator before you snap the 2 parts together. Read More...

Ben April 25, 2015 for Model Number whirlpool ultimate care II quiet wash Having trouble finding the model number on this washer. Needing a cam agitator for the upper section. Dogs wore down and does not engage.
1 Answer Hello Ben, Since there are several agitator kits, there is no way we can advise the correct part for your model without the model number from the units' I.D. tag. I apologize and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Robert March 23, 2015 for Model Number LSQ8543JQ1 I recently purchased the AP3094543 repair kit for my washer. The kit looks correct but I cannot separate the agitator from the base. I watched your video (and others) and they all come apart with a snap at the most. I am a full size guy and with all my strength cannot pull it apart. Do you sell the entire base, agitator, and clutch?
1 Answer Hello Robert, You will need to order 285565 for the complete agitator assembly. Read More...
Herman March 19, 2015 for Model Number Whirlpool LSR8233EQO Top part of agitator wont spin, but which repair kit is the right one for my model number? Long, Medium or Short Cam Agitator Repair Kit?
Emma January 07, 2015 for Model Number LSQ9544KQ0 When you say that the agitator must be removed from the unit, is it enough to remove just the top half? (That is what the gentleman in the video does.) Also, as far as the grease goes, I just received my cam kit, and it doesn't mention in the instructions about using grease. I don't see it mentioned in the video either. Where does one use it?
1 Answer Hello Emma, Most of the time when the center bolt is removed, the entire agitator comes out. This requires that the agitator be separated by holding the base down and pulling up on the top half. The grease is applied to the thrust spacer WP3951608, top and bottom of it. Be aware that a small amount is used to prevent any getting into the wash load. Read More...
Emma January 07, 2015 for Model Number LSQ9544KQ0 2 questions, please 1) In this video, the gentleman is able to just lift out the top part of the agitator, while in the video for replacing the agitator dogs alone (part # AP3119063) he takes out the entire agitator and has to stand on the bottom section to separate it from the top. Is it realistic to think one can separate the two while the agitator is still in the machine? 2) In the description, it says that Whirpool recommends using a small amount of grease with this kit. How do you know if it is necessary to use it? I don't see any mention of grease in the description about the agitator dogs. Why would it not be necessary to use grease when just replacing the dogs? If grease is necessary, can one just use any silicone grease? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Emma. No, the agitator must be removed from the unit to replace the parts. As for the grease, it is not needed just for the dogs. Only with the cam kit. And you must use the manufacturer recommended grease WP542638. Read More...
