Larry July 12, 2012 for Model Number MD87709AWS2 We had a power outage for four days, we tried to use the dish washer after service was restored and it would not work. We pressed the normal wash and the steam and heated dry lights come on but when we push start they go off after about 30 sec. and nothing happens? Thanks Larry
1 Answer Hello Larry. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel W10810424 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. If some buttons work and others do not, you will need to replace the control panel. Read More...
Ghost June 22, 2012 for Model Number kudso1flss6 My dishwasher would go through 2 cycles in normal mode then I would get a clean light flashes 7 times continuously. I just installed a new heater and a new hi-limit thermostat and reset the panel. The same thing happens. 2 cycles then the clean light flashes 7 times. What else could it be that causes the clean light to flash? Thanks
1 Answer Hello, The unit has several components in the heating circuit. The heater, the thermostat, the wiring harness, the door switch, and the control. I would guess your issue is the control WP8564543considering the symptoms you gave. Read More...
Robert February 25, 2012 for Model Number kudpo1flss6 Thank you for responding to my original question (machine's buttons light, but the machine will not start-the unit will discharge water), the machine's float mechanism is working properly, but it is still not working. What would be the next step please. Does the fact that it will discharge water rule out door switches and the control panel?
1 Answer Hello Robert. I would test with the machine filled with water, at the point the circulation pump should be running , to see if the motor is getting power. If power is present, the circulation motor WPW10757217 has failed. If no voltage is present, the control WP8564543 has failed. It is much easier and safer to test for voltage in this instance with a voltage indicator TJMA-49858A. sure hope this helped! Read More...
Robert February 22, 2012 for Model Number kudpo1flss6 My machine does not start. The button lights go on but nothing happens. If I put water in the unit, and hit the cancel button and close the door, the water will drain.
1 Answer Hi Robert. Remove the kick plate. Look at the float switch to see if the float stem rides up and down on the fill switch kit part # 8193506. Sometimes the switch mount body side access will pop loose and the stem will slide off the sw. lever getting cocked between the 2. Thank You. Read More...
Rich January 22, 2012 for Model Number kuds01flss6 Recently replace the control panel worked fine for a couple months now it quit in mid wash and acts as if no power. Would that be the door switch?
1 Answer Hello Rich. You will need to test and see if the fuse kit 8193762 is bad in the unit. If so, it will cause the problem you are having with the dishwasher. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Chris November 16, 2011 for Model Number kudpo2frsso clean light flashes 7 times stops then starts again and washer doesnt work.
1 Answer Hello Chris. Turn off the dishwasher in stand by mode (no lights on control panel). Press heated dry, Normal, Heated dry, Normal and the dishwasher will start. Let it run through the complete cycle. Always get the water hot at the sink before starting the dishwasher. If the problem continues, you will need to test the heater WPW10082892 and the thermostat WP661566. They should read closed for continuity. Hope this helps. Read More...
Jennifer October 20, 2011 for Model Number KUDS01FLSS6 Hi, this dishwasher has a few problems. The button panel is no longer intact over the start button. Consequently the start button does not react until after several times of pushing it or taking a pencil eraser or something to really depress the button. Also the dishwasher stops mid cycle. Once we open the door and close it again, the dishwasher will finish the cycle. We have had to twist and tweak the door to keep it latched, it would pop open, but now even when it doesn't pop open the cycle doesn't finish without opening and shutting the door. How many parts would you recommend to fix these issues?
1 Answer Hello Jennifer. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like you will need to replace the control panel W10775980, user interface WP8270168, ribbon cable WP8524447, and the door latch 8193830. Hope this helps. Read More...
Jeff W September 26, 2011 for Model Number MDB7609AWB2 My dish washer will no start when pushing the start button. I tested the door switch and it tested ok. Is it common for the start button on the control to go bad or could it be some thing else? Unit is less then a year old. Thanks
1 Answer Jeff, It is more common for a keypad to fail, than you'd think. Since the door switch checks OK, if the control and display programs but you can't start the dishwasher then the control panel is the more likely issueW10811155. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Erica September 15, 2011 for Model Number 66513753k602 The normal light keeps flashing. When I put the 15 pnt. grey connector out and put back in the dishwasher? It will run for two or three times then back to normal light flashing. What part do I need to order? Also a problem the screws to screw the panel to the door some are cracked so the panel doesn't feel tight(which is caused by to much removing to get to panel plus those parts were plastic which break). Thanks for your help if you could tell me what part or parts I need to order. Thanks Erica
1 Answer Hi Erica. You have a stuck keypad assy. The new part # is WP8572838. The door switch is part # WP8269209. The outer panel shows that it is metal part # is W10301571. Thank you. Read More...
Albert G September 11, 2011 for Model Number KUDM01FKSS0 When I pulled the control panel off the door latch came off, i have the pieces but not sure I put together correcdtly. Is it possible to get a diagram of hoe it should look? Thanks,
1 Answer Albert, Did the latch assembly come apart ? Thees only three(3) parts , the switches and the latch assembly 8193830 You may need to order the new latch assembly if you have more parts than that. The switches mount on the pins of the latch assembly so that when the latch pawl on the tub flange is locked closed the switches are activated and the dishwasher operates. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
