This vent tube routes conditioned air between refrigerator compartments to help maintain even temperatures and proper airflow. It restores correct air direction so the fresh food and freezer sections cool as designed. What it does:

• Channels cold air from the freezer/evaporator area into the fresh food compartment
• Helps balance airflow to reduce hot spots and temperature swings

• Disconnect power before accessing internal panels to avoid shock
• Remove shelves/panels as needed to access the old vent tube; handle plastic parts carefully to avoid cracking
• Verify correct orientation and secure fit so airflow openings align with cabinet ducts
• Reinstall or replace foam seals or clips to maintain proper sealing

This plenum is the molded air duct that channels exhaust and recirculated airflow inside the appliance, helping the ventilation system move heat, moisture and cooking fumes where they belong. Replacing a cracked or warped plenum restores proper airflow and reduces noise and backdrafts. What it does:

• Worn, cracked or misshapen plenums can cause poor ventilation, rattling or uneven airflow

• Follow the OEM diagram for correct removal and reinstallation
• Handle edges carefully; plastic parts can be brittle and tabs may be fragile
• Retain and reuse any original fasteners unless the OEM specifies replacements
