This limit switch is a position-sensing safety switch used in cooking appliances. It signals the control when a mechanism reaches the correct position, helping the unit start or stop related functions reliably.
Oven won't heat or stops heating during cleaning cycle? The high-limit safety switch cuts power when temperatures exceed safe limits. Moderate DIY fix.
Started with checking temp control in the oven. Worked fine. Next was testing high limiter switch. Every place stated switch was on the back panel, found mine place under the right burner cartridge. Took some finagling to expose it. Bought a new one, two wires to disconnect along with two small screws to secure switch, slapped it in and I was in business. Oven that was out of commission for over two weeks (never buy a part from Sears, always deal with APP's!) was on the road again! Read more
This push-button replacement switch restores reliable user control for compatible Frigidaire appliances. It replaces a worn or failed control switch so buttons respond correctly and features return to normal operation. What it does:
This thermostat temperature limiter helps stop heating when temperatures exceed safe levels, protecting the appliance and preventing overheating. It fits specific Whirlpool systems and restores proper temperature control when the limiter has failed. What it does
I read this is a common problem with Kitchenaid stoves. The most common part to replace is the thermal fuse on the back of the stove. I replaced it and the stove still didn't work. I learned through the help of this website that there is a second fuse that may have blown also. It was difficult to find through the help of one of your staff members I located it in the front instrument panel of the stove. I ordered the recommended part that had failed and installed it today. The stove is... Read more

Wall oven won't heat or stops heating mid-cycle? A faulty thermal fuse is often the cause. This safety component prevents overheating damage.
This time delay fuse protects the appliance from overheating by opening the circuit when temperatures exceed safe limits. It's a direct-replacement electrical safety fuse used in heating circuits to help prevent damage and fire risk. What it does:
Actual problem was due to a poor connection from the circuit board and HV transformer, over time this poor / loose connection began to arc causing enough heat to physically melt the connector and the contact to the thermistor. the problem was obvious but I still followed procedures to check all the components.*** NOTE*** ALWAYS UNPLUG DEVICE FIRST, WITH MICROVAVES, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, DISCHARGE HV CAPICITOR, IT CAN KILL YOU! just take your time testing components, following your electronic... If your oven won't heat but the igniter glows, the thermal limit switch may have tripped. This safety cutoff prevents overheating. DIY-friendly repair.
This high-limit thermostat is a temperature safety switch that helps prevent overheating by opening the circuit when temperatures exceed safe limits. It restores normal operation once the temperature cools, protecting the appliance and reducing fire risk. What it does:
This 15 amp, 250 volt replacement fuse protects your appliance's electrical circuits by interrupting power when a fault or overload occurs. It restores safe operation once the underlying issue is fixed and the fuse is replaced. What it does:
This fixed thermostat monitors and limits temperature to protect the appliance's system and components. It's a simple, non-adjustable sensor/limit switch used where a set cutoff temperature is required for safe operation. What it does:
