The freezer ice outlet was remaining open and iceing up because of warm air being allowed to enter i determined that the solenoid was not operating properly to bring the flapper closed after use Richard S. C. • Naples , FL • February 24, 2018
I deceided to also replace other parts that were accsessable while changing the solenoid and they were not that expensive. I followed the on line instructions to replace all parts, which made it easy to do.

Replaced the control box cover which contains a drain tube that protrudes into the rear wall of the refrigerator. The plastic was cracked therefore allowing water to bypass the drain tube and leak down the rear wall of the refrigerator and collect on the bottom shelf.

I pulled out the refrigerator and unplugged it. Then removed the top access panel. Unplugged the fan motor then removed the fan orifice. Removed the fan motor from the orifice. Mounted the fan motor on the new orifice and reinstalled the assembly plugging the fan motor back in as well. Replaced the access panel and plugged in the refrigerator. Then pushed the refrigerator back into place.
