We used the AP5306646 Assembly Cover part to replace the dispenser portion of the unit. There is a video on YouTube where the person explains how to get the old unit out. It was 1 screw and then a pulling motion. It takes a little bit of strength and finesse but it came out like the video. Called sears for repair. Diagnosed that the ice maker was not allowing water to enter in when the cycle was complete. I saw that it was a simple fix, and saved about $300 by doing it myself. Removed upper frig & lower freezer back evaporator covers to get to the frost buildup on the evaporator assembly. I then used a paint stripper heat gun to melt the ice build up caution should be used to keep the gun moving around as not to damage Wires,Eva,Sensor's. Replaced ice maker and tray assembly. Tried calling Samsung but not very helpful.Talked to local repair people and they state that is a problem with Samsung refrigerators. They no longer service Samsung products. Stated the housing around the ice maker needs to be sealed to prevent air from infiltrating the internal workings of ice maker. After reading stories on this website I decided the problem was probably the control board. I ordered the sensors also just in case. The display has been dim for awhile so I got that also. I replaced the board and the display in less than an hour. It is working perfectly now so I never installed the sensors. I believe the board was ruined by a recent power outage. I was buying a part for my other refrigerator and decided to replace the ice tray on my LG, as it was not emptying properly. Order and received hinges and the parts for the doors that were lost. After plugging it in the open door chimes started and would not stop. I call appliance Parts customer service and tech Dept. They were very patient and helpful with my ordering the parts I needed and tried to get the chimes to stop. The People I talked to were very helpful and patient in trying to fix this problem.
