This was a fairly easy fix. The only problem I had was that the cover over the retaining nut was difficult to pull off. I changed to a larger pair of pliers and put a little more muscle to it and it popped right out. There was a little corrosion on the shaft that needed to scraped off for the new agitator to slide on easily but after that was gone the new part slid on and with some downward pressure it seated in. Get some acetone at a Hardware Store before you start. A pint will do. Unplug the dryer from 110 VAC. Pull the top off of the dryer, by lifting it from the front first. The blower wheel center was worn down and spinning freely on shaft. Removing front covers, controls and brackets gave access to blower, which front half came off removing screws. (One screw underneath bracket) Pushed new blower on. (It's keyed and has small tabs that line up with groove on shaft). Installed clamp, reassembled and tested. I manually rotated the drum and could hear a noise in the lower right hand corner of the dryer. I turned off the breaker, removed the front covers to expose the blower fan. Blower fan was no longer attached to shaft and hitting the housing. Ordered a new blower assembly, rear bearing kit and lint filter on Friday at 09:00 AM and they arrived the next day at 13:00 (with standard shipping !!). 15 mins to troubleshoot. 30 minutes to replace parts and re-assemble.
