Using the website was super easy; I entered my KitchenAid model number, located the part on the schematic diagram, used the number to reference the actual parts listed below the diagram and placed an order. The parts arrived in two days. I watched the how-to videos and took notes. The repair itself took the same amount of time as in the video. The time consuming part was taking the food out of the refrigerator, cleaning the interior & original parts before reassembling. The only problem I... Read more

There is nothing you can't do given the right YouTube video! We disassembled the bottom mount freezer n our Jenn Air refrigerator to remove all the ice and then located the clogged grommet on the back of the unit and cleared it and added a notch. In the process of reassembling we broke the bracket on a part that should have been the easiest portion of the entire installation! In seconds we located and ordered the part on your site. It arrived in a couple of days and then we removed the door and... Read more

Color: clear. Measures about 14 inches wide by 3-1/2 inches high by 6 inches deep.
We turned off the circuit breaker. We then removed the light cover and then the control panel. We disconnected the Keyboard, Utah, plugged in the new one and turned the breaker on to see if everything worked. We realized that we did not need a new jazz board so that is being returned. The old Keyboard was removed, the new one attached and all the parts were put back. The frig works fine now at the recommended settings of zero and 38F. Read more
Fixes loose panels, rattling doors, or wobbly components caused by stripped or missing screws. Secures brackets, covers, and mounting hardware. Easy DIY.
Maytag Dishwasher (about 5 years old). Some of the buttons had stopped functioning. Then the Start button began choosing whether or not to work. Eventually it would not start at all. Upon removing the control panel, the first thing I noticed was that the brackets that hold the two lower screws were broken. (So this was the reason that the door was so hard to open from the time it was new.) I trouble shot the thermal fuse, the door-latch switches, and inspected the control board trying to find... Fixes refrigerator warm but freezer cold, ice buildup on evaporator coil. Moderately difficult repair requires removing freezer panel and coil.
The cooling coils were iced-up. The ice was blocking air flow to the refrigerator. This resulted in the freezer working fine while the refrigerator was warm. Called AppliancePartsPros and talked to Sally. Sally was a big help in troubleshooting the problem. I ordered and replaced the cooling coil heater. If you attempt to do this repair yourself, BE CAREFUL, the cooling coil fins are sharp. Read more

This acoustic fiber is the sound-absorbing insulation used in a refrigerator's machine compartment. Replacing a missing or damaged pad reduces operating noise from the compressor area and helps maintain the unit's intended sound levels.
First I emptied and cleaned out the entire refrigerator. Then I unplugged and defrosted the unit. As that was happening, I vacuumed out the back compressor area. ( the noise reduction pad disintegrated so replaced) , Googled the problem, and watched a youtube video on how to test and fix the issue. Took the back of the inside freezer compartment off and metered the heating coil. It was good. Then popped off the control panel cover in the fridge compartment and tested the motherboard. ... Replacement icemaker fill tube that directs water from the valve to the ice tray. Replace if cracked, leaking, or causing water to freeze in the freezer.
Replaced the water tube that went from the plastic tubing to the ice cube tray. Found that even though it was the same exact length as the original, there was only an extremely small gap from the end of the tube to a splash board. This may have been the root cause of my problems. Read more
Freezer not cooling or running constantly? This mechanical temperature control thermostat regulates freezer temps. DIY-friendly repair in under an hour.
My fridge was often reaching 60-70 degrees but would work well when motor/fans were running; it just wasn't cooling regularly. I checked the coils, defrost, damper, and fans, and they all seemed to work, so that only left the cold control in terms of what I was willing to try to fix. (It wasn't worth messing with the compressor as the fridge is 12 yrs old.) The fridge would sometimes kick on when I tapped the cold control knob so it was a reasonable - and, it turns out, correct - guess. I... Read more

Ice maker not filling or dispenser not working? This water inlet valve kit fixes slow fill, no ice, and leaking issues. 20-30 minute DIY repair.
Replaced both primary and secondary water valves to make sure I fixed the problem. Both valves have to open when you function the water dispenser and when the ice maker tray needs refilling. YouTube video was a great help and let me know that I had to lengthen one hose. The video showed me the exact parts I needed to lengthen the hose. YouTube video also let me know that I had needed to transfer the internal springs in the hoses when I cut the old connections off. Never would have known... Read more
