Using appliancepartspros.com site took washer apart to diagnose bad clutch. The clutch was bad but once inside I noticed grease everywhere and after a quick online chat with rep. determined gear case was leaking and needed replacement. Replaced clutch & gear case. Using repair help suggestions from other users and youtube, I narrowed it down to the transmission (part #320) mainly because it was a metal-to-metal noise. Ordered new valve assembly, part arrived 2-3 days, installed part same day it arrived. Some difficulty getting to the two screws holding it in due to small area to work. Once that was figured out, reinstall went very smoothly, total time about one hour. Probably saved a couple of hundred if I had to hire a plumber to fix it, plus the parts. Then, called and customer service sent me a service Manual but this still was not specific so I broke the old to get it out and in the process figured out how to do it correctly. I had replaced the Agitator cams a couple of times already due to my brother-in-law overloading the machine which stripped the teeth off of the cams. I also noticed the agitator seemed to 'wobble' and made 'knocking' noises quite a bit. I ordered the parts, after assuring my diagnosis was correct from APP’s knowledgeable representative, and they were shipped quickly. I tipped the washer and disassembled the parts to be replaced and then installed a new clutch, clutch spring and mode shifter. Read more

I found a YouTube video, order the parts about midnight Saturday and-they came in the mail before lunch on Tuesday. I laid the washer on the rear panel, removed both pulleys to clean them, installed the speed sensor. bolted the pulleys back in place, installed the new belt-making sure it was centered and everything moved freely, and attached the belt/pulleys cover. I set the washer back up, reattached the water lines, placed the drain tube, and plugged in back in. Works like new !!! 30 minutes... Read more

I had to replace the agitator. I previously purchased one about 6 months ago from another online vendor. I was shocked when comparing the build quality between the two, the competitor uses a plastic spline on the agitator while AppliancePartsPros.com had a metal spline.
