• Leaks water

Noticed large banging in the washing machine when transitioning from low to high speed spin. Also would get a slight smell of burnt rubber. Did an online search and best guess was the spider arm assy was broken. Ordered the spider arm assy, the rear tub seal and the tub seal. Make sure you get blue threadlocker - you'll use it multiple times during the reassembly. The washer is 9 years old and is heavily used. I opened the washer and replaced the pump. To open the washer: 1. Remove the 2 screws that are different from the others in the top back corners of the machine. That will let you remove the top. 2. Remove the soap tray and its holder. The tray comes out if you depress the tab in the back center. Its holder comes out if you remove the two screws in the front. I found a youtube video about replacing the hot water valve in a Samsung washer. It looked pretty easy. I took apart the washer to find both of the weight balancers had broken in 2 and were banging around. They had also caused the boot seal to rip. I removed the broken weight balancers and replaced them along with a new boot seal. There was one small spot with the seal wasn't fully attached to the outer drum so I had to take it back apart to fix that minor error on my part. Otherwise, it was a fairly easy fix. Read more

The error code implies a faulty fill valve. This was not the case for me. Replacing the main PCB assembly solved the problem. I have run two full loads since the repair with no problems. Read more

Needed to replace washer counter balance. Also order shock absorbers in case they needed to be replaced, fortunately they didn't need replacement and will be returned. I used Appliance Parts Pros many time and always found them to be very helpful and the repair videos are very helpful. Read more

First I took off the spring loaded wire ring holding down the seal to the door with needle nose pliers. Pulled back the seal. Removed the 3 screws holding the part on the front of the washing machine. Slid the piece out. Took the protector guard off the off piece and unplug the wires. Put the wires into new part. Put the protector on the new part. Slid the part back into place. Screwed it back in. Put the seal back on. Put the wire spring loaded ring back around the seal. Total time 15 minutes... Read more

Removed top panel to reach the hose and sensor. Propped the washer back, reached up to remove bottom hose assembly. Replaced with new hose and new sensor. Put top panel back on. Parts place told me the part was backordered for months and repair would cost at least $80. Got it in three days and fixed it myself. Read more

Washer said error no drain. Cleaned the filter and still no drain. So the next step was to check the hose for any debris and when I went to pull the hose off it broke, at the same time I found the check valve flap broke in the drain pump and it was blocking the hose. So I replaced the check valve on the drain pump and replaced the hose. Read more

The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh.. Be sure to keep track of all your screws. BTW it was not the thermal fuse. All the online videos say this is the first thing to look for when the dryer will not start. Be sure to check with the person... Read more
