The Suspension Spring Holder is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This holder supports the suspension springs that help stabilize the washer drum during operation, reducing vibration and movement. It plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and quiet operation of the washing machine.
Over time, the suspension spring holder can become worn or damaged due to regular use, heavy loads, or accidental impacts. Causes of a bad suspension spring holder include wear and tear, physical damage, or corrosion from moisture exposure.
Symptoms of a bad suspension spring holder include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.
Replaced all three dampers and then replaced locking gaskets for the top spring mounts for the drum, replaced the old feet pads I had and works like a charm! Read more
The Shock Absorber Kit is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This part minimizes vibrations and absorbs shocks during the washing and spinning cycles. By stabilizing the drum, these shock absorbers ensure smooth and quiet operation, preventing excessive movement and potential damage to the washer.
Causes of a bad shock absorber can include wear and tear over time, heavy or unbalanced loads that put extra strain on the absorbers, or damage from impact or mishandling.
Symptoms of a bad shock absorber include:
After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a... Read more
The Pump Hose is an OEM replacement part for LG washing machines. It is a flexible tube that connects the pump assembly to the internal tub and spins through the detergent dispenser area. The pump hose is responsible for circulating and removing water during the wash and rinse cycles.
Symptoms of a bad pump hose include:
Causes of failure can be cracks or splits developing in the tubing from repeated bending and flexing over time, or blockages restricting water flow.
It is also compatible with some Kenmore models.
REMOVED BACK PANEL, USED PLYERS TO REMOVE CLAMP, PULLED OLD HOSE OFF, REVERSED PROCEDURE TO INSTALL NEW HOSE. TOTAL TIME ABOUT 10 MINUTES. Read more
This three coil solenoid is used for the cold water, bleach dispenser and prewash.
1. I unplugged the washer from outlet 2. I turned off the hot and cold water taps going to the washer (both just in case) 3. Draped a towel over back edge of washer and under where hoses coming from water outlets attach to back of washer (to catch any loose water out of the hose or screw nozzle leading to valve assembly, then unscrew (by hand) the cold water hose from back of washer (leave hot water hose alone as not needed). 4. Unscrew valve assembly from washer by two screws on back top of... Read more
The Dispenser Inlet Hose is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This hose directs water from the water inlet valve to the detergent dispenser, ensuring that water mixes with the detergent before entering the drum for efficient washing. The hose is designed to withstand high water pressure and temperature fluctuations.
Over time, the dispenser inlet hose can become clogged, cracked, or worn out due to regular use. Causes of a bad inlet hose include mineral deposits or debris buildup, wear and tear, and exposure to high temperatures or pressure that can cause the hose to degrade.
Symptoms of a bad dispenser inlet hose include:
I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. The inlet valve was okay but the screen had all kinds of crap in there that I couldn't clean out so now I have an extra solenoid just in case one of the others fails. While I was at it I removed the dispenser and cleaned the calcium build up on... Read more
The Bleach Funnel is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This part safely dispenses and introduces liquid bleach or other cleaning agents into the wash cycle at the appropriate time.
Causes of a bad Bleach Funnel can include physical damage, wear and tear over time, or clogs from residue buildup.
Symptoms of a faulty Bleach Funnel include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.
The error code was E0 and this indicated that there was a drainage issue with the washer. I bought a new drain pump motor and a front seal gasket from Appliance parts pros, watched the installation video and installed the parts. The video was direct and straight forward. Everything is working very well again Read more
This inlet hose routes incoming water from the washer's fill valve into the machine to support proper filling. Replace a cracked or leaking hose to stop drips, prevent water damage, and restore reliable fill performance.
This thermistor seal is the grommet that seals the temperature sensor where it passes through the washing machine's outer tub. Replacing a worn seal restores a watertight fit and helps prevent leaks that can damage surrounding components. What it does
The Spider is an OEM part for LG washing machines. As the rear tub support, it is located behind the outer tub and provides structural support during the spinning cycles. The spider braces against excessive vibration and movement to maintain integrity of the washer tub under heavy loads.
Causes of a bad spider can include cracks, breaks, or loosening due to wear and tear over time from stress of the spinning cycles. Metal fatigue from years of use also contributes.
Symptoms of a bad spider include:
This LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.
This hose clamp secures a washer hose to its fitting to maintain a tight, leak-resistant connection. Replace a weakened or damaged clamp to stop seepage at hose joints and keep the washer operating reliably.
I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Read more
The Motor Stator Bolt is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This bolt secures the stator to the motor, ensuring the stability and proper functioning of the washing machine's motor assembly.
Causes of a bad motor stator bolt can include wear and tear over time, improper installation, or damage from over-tightening or impact. A compromised bolt can lead to instability in the motor, potentially affecting the washer's performance.
Symptoms of a bad motor stator bolt include:
I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. This washer has to be completely disassembled to replace the drum, so mark all the screw locations, tag and bag everything and take lots of pics. It was a very rewarding project and hundreds of dollars... Read more
This Screw (drawing) is a factory fastener used to secure appliance panels and components. Replacing a stripped, corroded, or missing screw restores a tight fit, reduces vibration, and helps keep assemblies correctly aligned.
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back... This Power Cord Assembly restores a secure, grounded connection from your wall outlet to the washer's internal power circuit. Replace a frayed or failed cord to resolve no-power issues and maintain safe operation. What it does:
This hose clamp secures a rubber hose connection to prevent leaks where the hose meets its fitting. A tight, uniform seal helps maintain proper water flow and keeps the appliance operating reliably.
