Easy fix for do it yourselfer in 15-20 minutes. Make certain to have model number of appliance when ordering. This piece fails due to poor design as the weak point of the part you grab to open the dishwasher door. This defect has been reported by a number of owners as a common failure point on this model dishwasher. This is a $90 piece of plastic and yes, it does the job of restoring the DW to fully functional. Replaced the Main Control Board Assembly along with the evaporator and condenser fan motors. I thoroughly cleaned the very very dirty condenser with a 4$ brush offered by the parts specialist and while I was at it, I changed the door seals and replaced one of the door trays. Beats the crap out of spending $10,000 on a new refrigerator that because of Covid 19 wouldn't be here before the middle of November. Thank you Matt for your help! Read more

I've never done any type of repairs on a washing machine and figured I would give it a try. After looking for solutions online and watching some short videos, we decided to open the dishwasher up and try to fix it ourselves. We opened it up and found the circuit board had burned out causing a horrible odor. We ordered our new board, popped it in and we now have a working dishwasher. Hooray! Read more

This was a newer GE Monogram side-by-side unit that used an inverter compressor. I removed the inverter and used an ohmmeter to measure the resistance of each of the three windings. They were all very close to one another: about 6.8 ohms per winding. I concluded that the compressor was probably not at fault. We have a Frigidaire LGHS2667KE0. I’m not an appliance technician. Our refrigerator was not working. We were getting an error code SY CE on the front control panel. The defrost heater element looked good and had continuity. The defrost thermostats checked good, so that just left the Defrost Module as the likely suspect. I installed a new defrost control module and thermostats. The thermostats were inexpensive and the old ones could have been intermittent, The only "tricky" part was finding out how to get to the back screw that holds the main control panel. After seeing that several other people had had the same problem and that the membrane was recommended (not the control panel), I took a chance and ordered the part.
