We pulled the dishwasher out, took it to the garage and set it up on sawhorses and planks so we could access the bottom. We plugged it in and filled it with water and ran a quick cycle. As soon as the circulation pump kicked on water came spraying out from the rubber boot in the diverter assembly. It appears that there was a factory defect in the hose. Unfortunately, the water got into the pump motor over a few loads and was eroding the brushes on the motor. We decided to replace it as well.... Read more

I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. The repair technician asked for $500 for a repair and that is on top of the $230 I paid him two days before. I looked up the parts and decided to try myself and it paid off. • Burning smell

All's well that ends well, but the getting there was a bit of a pain. The web site suggests 3 possible causes for my problem (incl. the burning smell). First, cleaned all the dirt and lint from the condenser radiator, the fan motor is in a metal housing holding the fan motor in place. look carefully and there is a sheet metal screw at the bottom of the housing, 1/4 inch screw head sheet metal screw. Pulling the dishwasher, it was obvious we had a slow leak under it. We had a slow leak from the diverter motor area in the sump. Sure enough, it looked like the gasket around a shaft had to be the culprit. The gasket was attached to the sump assembly, or the motor. I only needed the Bracket Assembly motor, not the DC Motor or Fan Assembly that I also ordered so I will be sending those back. The repair was extremely straightforward with a few bumps along the way. All told it took me about an hour. Unplugged refrigerator and removed access panel from back of fridge. Have had this panel off many times for dust removal. Panel is a cheap piece of glorified cardboard on this Whirlpool model, which is a shame given that it was a $1000 refrigerator. Dishwasher died after 1 year and two weeks after purchase! The Bosch tech arrived and recommended replacing the drain pump (as well as cleaning the filter in vinegar). Ordered pump from APPros and it arrived THE NEXT DAY! Took out old one.... installed new one... and it worked! The new pump fit perfectly. Read more

Replaced fan motor, temperature sensor and defrost thermostat. Note: I had to replace connector on new defrost thermostat. Connector on new part did not fit mating connector in refrigerator.. spliced in old connector for new one. Read more

After reviewing the 'how to' video on AppliancePartsPros.com, I unplugged the refrigerator and removed the back cover to access the motor. I then unplugged the wiring and removed the bad motor. I cut the clip plug and wired it to the new motor, installed the fan blade from the old motor and re-installed the new motor. You'll need a screwdriver with one of those small square heads and a small socket wrench. Remove ice bin. Unscrew 2 screws on casing surrounding the ice box in order to lift it up and out. Remove 4 screws from plastic piece beneath the ice box that the coupling is mounted to and is part of the ice chute. Checked thermal fuse, belt pulley switch, door switch, and motor windings (primary 2.3 ohms start 2,2 ohms). Called Appliance Pros, told them my problem. They said that it appears to be the motor even though the ohm readings seam Ok and that I could return the motor if it was not the problem. I ordred the motor and blower wheel. Installed the new motor and everything worked! The only difficult part was that the motor blower had to be chiseled out. Their motor repair video was a great help. Read more
