The video was very helpful, but my KitchenAid model required slightly more steps. Only the two screws in front held the filter housing, same as the video shows, but it has to be removed from the rear. The dishwasher coupler is designed to connect the spray arm to the unit and provide the connection for the water supply. This durable plastic coupler is subject to high heat and repetitive motion and can break or wear down over time. This could result in dishes not be cleaned properly. The unit may also be leaking or failing to drain. In the event that this happens, a replacement will be needed. This OEM coupler is manufactured to exact standards. It is sold as an individual unit and does not include any additional accessories or hardware. The spray arm will need to be accessed in order to complete this repair, which requires a nut driver and flathead screwdriver. Be sure to wear gloves and unplug the unit before performing any repairs. Remove the spray arm and the filter in order to access the coupler. Remove the old part and replace the new one, then replace the filter and spray arm and test the unit for leaks.

It's bit of a chore in that on my Whirlpool Refrig you need to remove the grill on bottom front and the Utility Panel on bottom rear. Then unscrew the original filter housing and pull it out through the back of utility opening. Remove the two water hoses and put them into new filter house. Reverse the disassembly process to reinstall new filter housing. I'm old and slow so the process took me about 45 minutes. (Note: Unplug electric and turn off water inlet before starting.)

I started by watching the video posted by couple of people on youtube on how to replace a microwave handle. After taking out the liner, I hit a roadblock with unscrewing the handle screw. The grip on the front side had basically melted causing it to be loose, so the screw and the plastic part would rotate together. After trying several things, I gave up and took it to Ace hardware to find an extractor of some sort. Luckily, the guys there used several tools and managed to get the screw out....
