Flapper Spring Parts

Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more

First remove the back from the washing machine. Top of the machine came off simple. To replace springs, I took a crow bar but it on the right side underneath where one of the springs should be. Lift the tumbler up remove and replace the spring. Did the same thing to the other side. On the tumbling unit there are spaces for three shock absorbers. Mine only had one shock in the middle. When I took it apart I found that the drive cup was cracked, the helix lock plate hole was reamed out and the ice deflector spring was broken. The biggest problem was the helix had slipped down the shaft and allowed the end of the shaft to bore a hole in the housing which made it a bear to get out. Others have had the same problem. Once I got past that obstacle, it was simple to replace all the parts and it's working like normal again. Very helpful video explaining the repair. Read more

• Will not drain

So all of a sudden the dishwasher stops working, "0E error"on the panel. Did some google searches and found that it might be the filter, which I did not know needed to be changed, or worse, the motor. Took the filter off per online tutorial (easy) and mopped up all the stagnant water. Poking around, I find the small rubber check valve that has broken. Had to fish it out with tweezers. I shopped around a bit - found one retailer that only had 1 shock in stock, another that only stocked the front shocks, etc. There is definitely a difference in the springs between the green colored and white colored shocks! I've torn this washer down before, so I'm fairly familiar with how it's put together. I bought a new controller first and installed it. The exact replacement controller was no longer available and I had to modify two AC connectors that changed from 3 pins with two wires to two pins with two wires. This was not expected but I made it work just fine by getting the three pin connectors on the cable to fit the two pin by breaking out the center web in the board two pin and then shaving off the raised key plastic on the wires. First determined drain discharge hose was clear. Turned of power to dishwasher. I did not find it necessary to remove the dishwasher. I simply removed the lower service panel at the floor and was able to easily remove the defective pump, unplug it, replace the small rubber check valve flapper before the pump inlet and reinstall the new pump assembly. • Will not fill with water

Took the washer out, turned it over and found the solenoid that worked the drain valve to be melted, and the shaft that the solenoid activates was heavily corroded. I found the right parts on your website after reading the notes left by other customers, then watched the video. The repairs were fairly simple and successful. This was a GE profile dishwasher. I encountered a high pitched squeal and loud rumbling. I figured the sounds were likely the rollers despite not matching other sounds on the repair videos for other dryers.
