Washer won't drain or shows OE error? This drain pump assembly removes water during spin cycle. Moderate DIY repair with video guide available.
Note: Per the manufacturer, the design changed of this washer drain pump changed in April 2025. The new gray casing with different fins will still work, as the fins allow access for wiring.
It was fairly obvious that the washer drainer motor had failed, water was not draining, filter was clean (bottom lower left panel door, have a pail ready!) and drain line was not blocked. Someone had provided great advice on the Appliance Parts Pro's site about replacing the drain motor from the bottom. Great suggestion! Easy to do, although be prepared for more water to drain from the washing machine onto the floor after you lay it over. I carefully lowered the machine onto it's back,... Read more
Captures lint and debris from laundry to prevent vent clogs. Replace if torn, cracked, or clothes snag on it. Confirm fit with your model number.
Note: Due to manufacturer changes, if you are replacing the lint screen housing [MCK49049101] you must order lint screen filter part number [ADQ56656403].
The original issue with the dryer is that a corner of the lint screen was sticking out of the lint screen guide, and it would not stay flush with the guide. As a result, many tank top straps, waistband strings, and blankets would get caught on this corner and twist, tear, or warp my clothes. When I did my research on the issue, I kept reading that it was an issue with the lint screen that came with the dryer. So I ordered the lint screen, guide, and cover that appliance part pros recommends to... Read more

Captures lint and debris during drying cycles. Replace when the seal becomes compressed or frame cracks to maintain efficiency and prevent vent clogs.
We had a problem of lint building up inside of the filter slot. Once I took a long brush and cleaned the recess where the filter slides I was able to see that the old filter was not catching all the lint. Upon closer examination I noticed that the seal around the filter had become compressed. that's when I order another filter from AppliancePartsPros.com. My new filter came within three days and my dryer has been working fine ever since then. Read more

I did a little research on the internet. Seems like this is a normal issue, perhaps caused by appliance age, not sure. Anyway, it’s easy to remove the lint trap holder on the LG dryer. I replaced the old with the new part, which fit good, but required a little strength and persistence but I was successful. The new “factory part” though has changed, and my old lint trap screen didn’t fit because of the design change. I was able to modify it by cutting off the ears so it would fit flush. Perhaps... I took it apart and found the drain pump motor had come apart. I found appliancepartspros.com and read the reviews for this company. Customers were very satisfied with the parts and service. I ordered the parts (at a savings of over 30% from my local appliance store) and had them in 2 days (YES TWO DAYS). Totally excellent service. Put the washer back together and it works like new. Dishwasher not draining or leaving standing water? This drain pump removes water during drain cycles. DIY-friendly repair with basic tools in under an hour.
First determined drain discharge hose was clear. Turned of power to dishwasher. I did not find it necessary to remove the dishwasher. I simply removed the lower service panel at the floor and was able to easily remove the defective pump, unplug it, replace the small rubber check valve flapper before the pump inlet and reinstall the new pump assembly. The dishwasher surprisingly cleans and runs quietly like new again although I found no excuse for the pump failure as it is well designed. Never... Read more

I ordered a new vario motor and a soap dispenser. I turned off the water and the breaker, disconnected the water line and the power at the front base of the unit, disconnected the drain hose from the garbage dispenser, and pulled out the dishwasher and laid it on a blanket on its face. I unscrewed and removed the plainly visible vario motor on the bottom of the machine and removed the cam from the shaft. I then used a needle nose plier to carefully turn the D-shaft on the new motor to exactly... Read more
Removes cooking odors, smoke, and grease from recirculating microwave vents. Replace when odors persist despite cleaning. Confirm fit by model number.
When Microwaving food, the display panel would seem to act normal, but the typical microwave sound would be absent. No microwave action would occur. Eventually an F5 code would display. Problem was the upper door switch. Found it by opening up the cabinet, removing the display panel (1 screw and a couple of plugs) and testing all three micro switched with a meter. Two switches are for the door and one for some kind of ventilation flap. They are all in the same area. Go to YouTube to see... Read more
Traps food particles and debris during wash cycles to prevent recirculation and ensure clean dishes. Replace if clogged, damaged, or causing odors.
I replaced the filter cartridge that is located underneath the lower spray arm. The original filter cartridge had become completely blinded off, the filter media is a very fine mesh nylon fabric and it gets clogged up eventually with hard water scale and other non-soluble materials (including dishwasher detergent). When this filter gets plugged, too little water flows through to the pump to be recirculated during washing. Replacement is relatively easy, except for the awkward position of... Read more
