I ran a diagnostics check on the washing machine and came up with the error code E47 -Board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin. The washer thought the door was open and would not finish the spin. I was left with a washer full of very wet clothes. This repair was SO extremely easy. Then I had to unstack the dryer from the washer, remove all covers, disconnect all hose connections, shock mounts and springs and remove the tub assembly. Replace the drain pump after watching a video demonstrating the process. The washing machine had run properly and emptied, so I was surprised how much water remained in the pipe after disconnecting the old pump. Plan on having 2-3 large towels underneath before removing it. The most difficult part (and most irritating) was replacing the intake and outtake hoses with the existing spring clamps. With more difficulty and frustration than expected but it works fine now. Things learned: 1. Order only 3 replacement pins. One comes with the shocks that you can't be sure you see in the picture. 2. A circuit board in a plastic box mounted to the floor, left rear, must be removed by two screws to be able to get pliers onto the head of the pin more easily. This helps installation too. 3. This is my third repair of this type. The first was a stand-alone washer and was very easy, because there was a plate on which the inlet valve assembly was mounted, and it was easily removed. Gasket and liner arrived as planned. Clips were a day later. Used "hog ring" pliers to remove the clips, worked great. Pre-punched holes in the gasket did not match the original but the plastic liner did. Used an ice pick to punch the gasket and inserted the clips. This is a chest freezer, so install the hinge side first. Read more

Our washer is next door the bathroom. So when, during the rinse cycle, the hose split and we found the back of the house completely flooded I initially assumed the culprit was either the toilet or the sink or possibly an interdimentional portal into a demonic netherworld of vaguely chlorine scented water. Looked for obvious signs of mal-function, burned wires, etc. I found that the compressor controller(attached to the compressor) had an obvious burned-out spot. Took a chance that was the problem (it was); ordered all new OEM parts, including a new timer and run capacitor (a part that kicks in every time the compressor starts).
