Bosch 800 Series Combination Oven + Speed Oven failure. Installed Nov 2016. May 2020 the speed oven lost all power while the lower oven still worked fine. Searching the web, I saw others have had similar issues that originate with 1 or more of the 3 door switches failing for the speed oven, which then blows the internal fuse. Always flip the circuit breaker off before servicing any electrical appliance. Pull out the oven far enough to access the full top panel. Internal fuses (2) are located... Read more

One of the three-door switches had failed. In my case, 00631512 or ref 25217585 on the left front of the unit. The green button no longer "clicked". When that switch fails, one of the ceramic fuses located under the top cover at the far back of the unit is blown. Used Volt-Ohm meter to determine which fuse. Happy to have also ordered a replacement door switch Support, just in case, as I was unable to remove the failed switch from the support without breaking a key brittle plastic tab.... Read more

Based on the sound of arcing, one of the elements failed. The upper one tested fine; too bad, as that's the easy one to access. The lower element on my Bosch induction range is accessible from the back, but only after you pry and bend a vertical piece of sheet metal down to a 30-40 degree angle. I assume this saves Bosch a few cents on each unit during production. Before bending that panel down, I remove all vertical obstructions: 240V power cable, the wires to the warming drawer element... Some internet searching on the problem followed by a chat session with AppliancePartsPros and a decision to purchase both control panel board and probe (didn't want to remove the unit twice). The replacements arrived within 36 hours and my daughter (50 years) helped remove the oven plus replace both parts - the panel was above the oven chambers and easy to replace. And the probe was okay too. I'm in my mid 70s. The panel required the nylon spacers to be re-used and these took half an hour to... Read more

Symptoms of a bad sensor include:
Causes of failure can be normal wear over time from high heat exposure, accidental damage compromising sensor integrity, or intrusion of liquids or debris confusing readings.
Guessed it must be either a heat sensor or a lower element. Bosch wall oven with no easy access to the back of the stove. Had to remove the door (very Heavy) to more easily access the temperature sensor. I thought from a video that the sensor could be easily replaced without having to access the red of the stove - not true! The sensor wire was secured to other wires and a clip screwed into the sheet metal. I was able to remove all screws with a Torx head driver. Since I had to pull the unit out... Read more
