Oven won't heat or stays at 100°? A weak igniter fails to light the gas. This gas range igniter typically takes 45 minutes to replace with basic tools.
On my Jenn-Air downdraft range, the oven stopped heating. The broiler still worked. So pulled the pan off the bottom so I could see and found the igniter wasn't glowing to start the gas. I had replaced the full electronic control panel using Appliance Parts Pros so knew they had the full breakdown of parts for my model. I found the igniter and ordered. But frankly, I wasn't sure about doing the repair myself. It looked easy enough from videos and discussions here. Still, dealing with the... Read more
Mice nesting in your oven? Replace damaged insulation wrap to restore heat retention and cooking performance. Wraps around oven cavity. DIY-friendly.
Took the stove apart*, saw where the mouse had made a nest. It was kind of like a hotel room after a rock star had used it. It was nasty, is what I'm saying. I removed the insulation, which immediately went into a garbage bag and was placed outside, whereupon I took off and nuked the site from orbit. It was the only way to be sure (actually it was disposed of in the proper manner, no nukes were detonated in the course of this repair). Anyway, I ordered the insulation from this site, which was... Oven not heating properly or showing F3 error? The temperature sensor likely failed. Simple DIY fix—unplug, remove 2 screws, replace sensor.
Online videos made this seem an easy fix. I unplugged the oven and removed the rear panel, then found where the temp sensor entered the oven. I unplugged the sensor's electric connector. Unlike the videos, this sensor screwed in from the inside of the oven, so I had to remove the 2 screws inside the oven which hold the sensor in place. Then I pulled the sensor out, careful not to tear the insulation with the wires and connector. Then I just pushed the new connector through the same hole and... Read more
Torx screw secures burner assemblies, igniters, and internal components in gas cooktops and ranges. Replace rusted, stripped, or broken screws.
I have tried to remove the burner assemblies by removing the torx screws but they were badly rusted, and unfortunately they all were broken during removal. I just discarded the ruined orifices and assembled the new orifices and burner assembly. Read more
Seals oven door to prevent heat loss and improve cooking efficiency. Replace when brittle, frayed, or not sealing properly. Verify fit by model number.
First of all Appliance Parts Pros is the best!! I would not have had the confidence to make this repair myself without their outstanding videos and Q&A sections on their website. And their prices for parts are very competitive. Like many stories on the website, my oven would heat up beyond the temperature set point. When it reached the target temperature, the lower heating element (I think this is the “bake” element) would shutoff, but the top element (“broil” element I believe) would remain on... Read more
High-temperature adhesive secures gaskets, seals, and feet in hot zones. Replace when parts loosen or seals fail. Confirm fit with your model number.
I took the cover off the transmission and determined that the only possible knocking had to be coming from the yoke. I ordered a new yoke and all the tub seals needed to put it back together like new. I also ordered a new drive pulley bearing because this bearing is always turning whenever the washer is used. I cleaned all the parts up while I was waiting for the new parts to arrive. I promised my wife I would make it look like new. I installed all the new parts in one day and let the... Read more
Replacement mounting screw for securing handles, panels, and internal components. Needed when original screws are stripped, lost, or broken during repairs.
This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

Replacement inner door glass panel for oven doors. Installs between outer glass and oven cavity. Needed when glass is cracked, broken, or shattered.
DIY. The delivery to Milwaukee took two days. The project was very easy and took about 1hr. The only tools required were a screw driver (electric) and a pliers. Just make sure your irganized with the screws so you don't lose any or mix up which ones go back in which holes. There's about 20 total screws. This $50 part saved me from having to buy my wife a $1000+ oven. Read more
If your burner clicks but won't light, the igniter's ceramic coating may be cracked. This replacement spark electrode typically takes 15-30 minutes.
Replaced igniter---works great---saved service call. Read more
If your gas burner won't light or sparks weakly, corroded igniter screws may be the cause. These mounting screws secure the igniter to the burner assembly.
Replaced old igniter. also purchased new screws for burner and igniter assembly since old screws were corroded from spilled food/fluids etc over the years. made the installation much easier. If you need to replace a worn igniter, do yourself a favor and go to hardware store and get matching replacement screws or buy new with igniter. Now my front right burner lights every time with just a click or two. Very pleased. Read more
Replace a cracked, broken, or worn burner head on your gas cooktop. Provides mounting structure for the burner cap and igniter. Sold individually.
I replaced the old burner with the new burner assembly which included the ignighter. The screw that held the old ignighter was frozen into the old burner such that just the ignighter could not be replaced. Be care full removing the screws to the burner as they also may be frozen and tend to snap off instead of unscrewing. You will need to drill an tap new holes. Read more
Halogen light bulb for oven interior illumination. Replace when burned out or dimming to monitor cooking without opening the door. Verify fit by model.
The lightbulbs were a problem for me as I did not know if they were 12 V or 120 V. But the interactive parts diagram on the website was very helpful and allowed me to order the correct bulbs very rapidly(120V is correct). They were very easy to change out except for the fact that I needed to have my 12-year-old son do part of it since his hands are smaller than mine.(and it is always good for sons to work with dads even on small projects like this.) The cooking element was also amazingly easy... Read more
Replace your cracked, corroded, or missing gas cooktop burner assembly. Includes igniter pre-installed. Installs on cooktop with two screws (sold separately).
Replacement mounting screw for securing components and housings in place. Order a new screw if yours is stripped, missing, or damaged during repairs.
One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! Did a little homework and found this website, spoke with knowledgable staff who pointed me in the right direction. Took me all of about 20 minutes to install new control panel..everything works perfect...THANKS! p.s. In doing my research come to find Maytag did little to insulate control panel from oven...
