Since I could not find the correct thermistor from the schematic provided, I ordered the thermistor harness for the evaporator. I cut the harness and spliced it to the sheared thermistor wires on the roof of the freezer compartment. It now works fine with a little "farmer ingenuity" help. Samsung was absolutely no help at all, but the guy that I spoke with over the phone at APP sure was. This site is now my "go to" for appliance parts! Tip for others with this model. Poped off plastics caseing inside the frigerator. Unscrewed 4 screws holding black fan inplace. Followed yellow wire to locate white sensor. Need to be careful not to break styrofoam, don't force it, it should seporate from plastic easy as long as the 4 screws are out. Swap it for the new one and button it back up. I heard a cracking sound so I opened the freezer again and found that it was s piece of plastic -- a small bar -- that had broken off of something. I went online, first to identify the broken part. It was the ice guide. I had to do a bit more research to find out what the ice guide does, as well as the part number. I found it easily on appliancepartspros.com. Replaced the inside back panel which comes with a new fan. Seems the old fan had stopped working due to ice which burned it out. The drain tube was blocked and ice built up on the bottom plate. Using a basting tube from Walmart and hot water I thawed out the ice in the tube. The basting tube became much like a toilet plunger and cleared the line rapidly. Nothing else worked as fast. I replaced all three sensors behind the Defroster cover since I was not able to test them. Problem solved. Read more

Replaced broken handle support bracket (part #AP5620448) and cap (part #AP5620751). Used a phillips head screwdriver and allen wrench. Pliers also came in very handy. If replacing cap and support bracket, be sure to install cap before support bracket, otherwise you'll have trouble installing the cap. I ended up not needing to replace the fixer handle (part #AP4372038), but I'll keep it around just in case. Read more

Looked at new part and realized there were only 2 screws that held the flap onto the door. Removed 2 caps off of screws with small knife and saved them. Removed 2 screws and the flap fell off into my hands. Disconnected wire harness. Connected wire harness for new flap and carefully pushed harness back into recess in door. Put screws back with caps. Closed the door to test and another wonderful job completed by homeowner! Read more

Found one of the drain valves was clogged causing condensation to overflow on the floor behind the refrigerator. Order the parts on Monday morning and they arrived tuesday afternoon. Replace both of the valves in 15 minutes. Easy repair and save a bundle over a service call. Read more

Took a bit to diagnose. First tried cleaning coils but the problem still persisted. Next took of the back panel and put the system into diag mode. (Press energy save button and fridge button for eight seconds system ding once a second and inverter board red LED will blink a code or be on solid if no issue. I took all the items out of the refrigerator. Removed the screws that hold the cover over the evaporator motor. Than for three hours used a hair drier to remove ice. The panel was frozen on if you pull on it it will break. Soaked up all the water removed the panel and took the fan blade off. That was difficult because it looks like a regular screw head however, you need to push in that which will cause it to release the blades and than push it onto the new motor. I have a large Samsung 4 door refrigerator. One of the rear wheels broke. To replace it, you need the wheel and the shaft. To lift the refrigerator for the repair, I had my wife stand in front of it with her foot on a board that was wedged against the front wheels. I then pushed the refrigerator up from behind and slid a 3/4" piece of plywood underneath the bottom with my foot. This gives you enough space to do the repair. I have a Samsung fridge and I had a problem were low pressure water kept coming out of the dispenser and would not stop. At first I thought it was the dispenser switch until I read reviews on the App Pro sight and the issue pointed to the water valve.
