Sears Canada Lint Screen Housing Foam Seal
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP339956

The Lint Screen Housing Foam Seal is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This seal is placed around the lint screen housing to prevent air leaks and ensure that the dryer operates efficiently by directing airflow properly through the lint screen. Symptoms of a failing lint screen housing foam seal include:

  • Increased lint buildup inside the dryer beyond the lint screen
  • Longer drying times due to inefficient air circulation
  • Excessive heat and humidity within the dryer

Causes of foam seal deterioration typically involve normal wear and tear, exposure to high heat which can degrade the material, or improper maintenance that can tear or dislodge the foam.

Sears Canada Blower Wheel
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP697772

The Blower Wheel is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This component is essential in the dryer's air system, as it is responsible for moving air through the drum and out the vent. The blower wheel works by pulling air over the heating element, circulating it through the clothes, and expelling the moist air outside, which assists in the efficient drying of laundry.

Symptoms of a failing Blower Wheel include:

  • Reduced airflow, resulting in clothes not drying properly or increased drying times
  • Unusual noises like rattling or thumping, suggesting the wheel may be loose or damaged
  • Excessive vibration of the dryer, especially if the blower wheel is unbalanced
  • The dryer overheating due to restricted airflow if the wheel is clogged or malfunctioning

Causes of a bad blower wheel typically involve objects getting caught in the wheel, lint build-up that unbalances the wheel, or wear and tear that leads to the wheel's fins breaking or deforming.

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
