Only saw a white knob online. Called and the customer service person said only white available but checked something and found the chrome part that was needed. This replacement oven door hinge is engineered for stainless-steel door assemblies. It restores smooth opening and a tight seal, helping the oven heat efficiently while keeping the door closed and the light off. What it does:
I replaced the hinges, which involved removing the door by opening it all the way, inserting a small allen wrench into the locking pin hole on each of the two hinges, partially closing the door and pulling it toward me. I then laid the door stainless steel face up on a table, removed the 8 screws from the edge and pulled the bottom of the face up and toward me. The hinges lie loose in their compartments, so it's easy to pluck them out and drop the new ones in. To retrieve my allen wrenches... Read more
Plastic side trim secures oven door glass in place. Replace if cracked, broken, or brittle from heat exposure. Prevents glass flexing and damage.
The hardest part of this repair was a) realizing that the easiest way to clean the oven door pieces is to remove the whole door and b) figuring out how to put the oven door back on. Doing (b) is infinitely easier if you stick two allen wrenches into the holes in the door hinge, but these holes ONLY appear when the door is fully open. Prop the hinges open BEFORE you remove the door. As many posters online will tell you, it is easy to remove the oven door but hard to put it back on. It... Read more

Replaced the oven igniter, following the general instructions on the ApplicancePartsPro.com website. It took me a little while to figure out how to get to the wiring for the igniter, as I had no access panel on the back to get to the wires. In my particular Whirlpool oven (very old model) it turned out that you have to remove the pots/pans drawer under the oven to get to the exposed wiring at the back. Once I figured this out, the rest of the replacement was a snap. Read more

Burner only partially heating or not working? This surface heating element restores even cooking. DIY-friendly repair with photos of wire connections.
I ordered a replacement burner from AppliancePartsPros.com and replaced it using a u-tube video to find out how to do it. I took pictures of the wiring before I took it apart and then removed the burner element from the glass tom, but I left all the wires attached. I screwed the new element to the glass top and then one by one I unhooked each wire from the broken element and then hooked them each back onto the corresponding place on the new element. I used the digital pictures I took of the... Read more

To his surprise in about 30 minutes we did it! So easy and a big thanks to Appliances Parts Pros for the part. We had the new part in 1 1/2 days...I was expecting it to be delivered in 5 days! This is not the first time doing business with them and I will continue to do so. Great company!! Read more
