I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door. The Control Knob is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool gas ranges. It is the manually operated rotary component that selects cooking features and temperature settings on the stovetop burners. Measures about 2 inches in diameter. For white order WP8273104. For biscuit order WP8273106.
