Replacement shelf stud kit for refrigerator compartments. Secures adjustable shelves to interior liner. Needed when original studs crack or break off.
My Whirlpool fridge is 12 yrs old. The crisper drawer supports finally gave up. I googled the make and model number for repair parts and AppliancePartsPros.com came up. I was actually surprised that I found the support peg and stud. I watched the video on their site on how to replace them, saw that it was easy and ordered the parts that afternoon. To my utter amazement the parts came via FedEx the following afternoon! I have to admit if I didn't watch the video I wouldn't have known how... Read more

After we moved into our new home, we realized that the freezer was very cold and the fins were frosting over, and the refrigerator wasn't cold. We had to take it apart and manually defrost it about once every 8 to 10 days. After research online, we found Appliance Parts Pros videos, which clearly explained how to fix it ourselves, a savings of at least $1,000 or more, since a new one of this size would have been in the arena of $1,200 to $2000. We ordered the three most likely parts to be bad,... Read more

Fix a refrigerator that won't cool or clicks but won't start. This compressor start relay activates your cooling system. DIY repair in under 30 minutes.
I went to appliancepartspros.com and described the symptoms which led to replacing the capacitor. The part arrived the next day!!! Unfortunately the clicking and warmness remained. I went to the online chat and Mandie recommended the relay which was next in the chain before the dreaded compressor. Once again the part arrived the next morning! I snapped it in and I was back in business, 90 dollars total in the two parts. No service call with the standard "it's the compressor" diagnosis. ... Read more

This elbow hose fitting connects water lines at an angle in your dishwasher's plumbing system. It provides a secure, leak-proof connection where hoses need to change direction. Replace this fitting if you notice water leaks around hose connections or if water pressure seems reduced during wash cycles.
Found the correct USA made OEM part from Appliance Pros, and installed it on my new Dishwasher. The use of this correctly manufactured Adapter prevented any damage to the threads of the dishwashers inlet solenoid valve which is made of a plastic material. If I had forced the after market adapter onto the solenoid valve instead of ordering the OEM adapter; it would have ruined the threads on the plastic solenoid valve resulting in the need to purchase a very expensive replacement valve. ... Fix water leaking under your fridge or a dripping dispenser with a new water inlet valve. Most DIYers complete this repair in 5-15 minutes. Video guide included.
Kenmore model 106.74252402 fridge with icemaker. Believe it or not, this was fixed with only a 1/4" nutdriver. The parts fit exactly and took 10 minutes each to replace. The most surprising was the inlet valve. I didn't need to cut any tubing since the old valve had push-connectors like the replacement. It was identical. Simply pushed the fitting to remove old tubing and pushed into new part. Pull off plugs and push onto new part. 2 screws hold valve to fridge frame. Screw cardboard cover... Read more

Seals freezer door to prevent frost buildup and maintain temperature. Replace if torn, cracked, or causing moisture inside. Confirm fit with your model.
I pulled the old gasket off the door then I used rubbing alcohol to clean the mold along the back of the door and in the insert for the gasket seals . The new gasket fit extremely well and was very easy to put in. I waited 24 hours for the gasket to come back to its normal shape. After putting the gasket in I waited another 24 hours to make sure that I was getting no Icing inside the freezer area. There was no icing so the job is completed. Read more
Freezer cold but fridge warm? Your evaporator fan motor likely failed. This circulates cold air from freezer to fridge. DIY repair, 2 screws, 30 minutes.
After tossing a couple for refrigerators to clean the storage area - we had one good one left taken from an apartment where the resident bought a newer-bigger one. Another resident's went bad - froze in the freezer - but 65 F in the lower refrigerator unit. Not my job but I decided to check it - diassembled the freezer plastic - fan didn't run - took it out and direct powered it - dead! I went on line and reviewed numerous Goolgle hits - yours was easiest to work in - put in the OEM P/N - you... Read more
Seals freezer door to prevent frost buildup and air leaks. Replace when damaged, cracked, or not sealing properly. Verify fit with your model number.
A tree had fallen across our power lines and the resulting power surge fried the circuit board. The diagnosis was a bit difficult and involved an educated guess based on how the frig was acting. The display was dark unless a button was pressed and the inside light worked but that was all. I had to rule out the compressor as the root cause so I back fed power to the compressor and heard it and the condenser fan fire up. I ordered the board and found the only way I could get it overnight was to... Read more
