I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. Replaced the damper control. It took only 10-15 minutes. Since replacement, the clicking noise has stopped. Very happy with the result. However, want to share that there was probably nothing wrong with the original damper other than the original faulty design. The flap opens and closes and believe the clicking noise was the result of plastic against plastic. I had a slow leak at the water inlet valve where the water line from the filter assembly connected to the water inlet valve. I determine that the water line had scratches in it which caused it to not seal. Had to buy the entire reservoir and filter assembly to get that water line. The replacement was smooth. It took about 30 minutes to swap out and it fixed the leak. Read more

Given all the symptoms, we figured that the control board went out. First, unplug the refrigerator. The control board was easy to access by removing a panel on the back of the fridge. I unplugged all the connectors and used a putty knife to release the board from the plastic retaining clips. There was some browning on the underside of the board and the back of the refrigerator that suggests one of the capacitors on the board blew. So this is a poor design in the first case. Not having a center support in the back almost guarantees a failure there eventually. I kludged together a support in my original more than a year ago, but finally the part broke too bad to limp along with anymore. This is the part I needed. We turned off the circuit breaker. We then removed the light cover and then the control panel. We disconnected the Keyboard, Utah, plugged in the new one and turned the breaker on to see if everything worked. We realized that we did not need a new jazz board so that is being returned. The old Keyboard was removed, the new one attached and all the parts were put back. The frig works fine now at the recommended settings of zero and 38F. Read more
