We first emptied out the freezer to another freezer, turned off the refrigerator, and let it defrost. We ordered a freezer door gasket from Appliance Parts and it arrived within a few days. We watched the video on how to replace it, followed the directions, and the gasket was successfully replaced. However, while the freezer was off, I cleaned the inside. Replaced the damper control. It took only 10-15 minutes. Since replacement, the clicking noise has stopped. Very happy with the result. However, want to share that there was probably nothing wrong with the original damper other than the original faulty design. The flap opens and closes and believe the clicking noise was the result of plastic against plastic. Given all the symptoms, we figured that the control board went out. First, unplug the refrigerator. The control board was easy to access by removing a panel on the back of the fridge. I unplugged all the connectors and used a putty knife to release the board from the plastic retaining clips. There was some browning on the underside of the board and the back of the refrigerator that suggests one of the capacitors on the board blew. Replaced capacitor and starting relay on the compressor in 15 minutes. The problem may have just been the capacitor, but rather than trying that and if it didn't solve the problem i would have had wait for the relay. Read more

I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. I followed a video to remove the inside door panel and gasket. Putting the new gasket was as easy as the video said. The only problem was ice had built up on the inside of the door panel that needed to be defrosted. Read more

I had a slow leak at the water inlet valve where the water line from the filter assembly connected to the water inlet valve. I determine that the water line had scratches in it which caused it to not seal. Had to buy the entire reservoir and filter assembly to get that water line. The replacement was smooth. It took about 30 minutes to swap out and it fixed the leak. Read more
