I attempted to diagnose the four thermostats/thermal switches in the microwave....two right behind the control panel, one on top of the cooking cabin, and one under a metal shroud above the magnetron. While checking continuity with a voltmeter, i questioned one of them behind the control panel and the one above the magnetron. • Little to no heat when baking

Turned off 40 Amp breaker. Removed shelves from oven. Removed two screws in back panel holding element in place. Slowly pulled element free making sure wires stayed attached and not lost in oven insulation. Removed two wires from old element. Attached wires to new element. Pushed wires back into oven rear wall. Reinstalled the previously removed two screws. Turned on breaker. Total time less than 10 minutes. Read more

My appliance is a Whirlpool Accubake Wall Oven, single door. After using the tech sheet and measuring the ohms of the two micro switches that sends signals when the door is shut and locked, determined the lock was faulty. Pretty simple to change, the most difficult part was taking the digital face off of the oven without damaging the control board. TIP: take a picture of the latch switches to ensure you put the correct wires on the correct switch. Read more

I disassembled the top of the range and looked at the problem burner. It looked like there was a spark at all three other burners but not the problem burner. There was a visible spark at the connector between the wiring harness and the ceramic igniter but that spark wasn't making it up to the top of the igniter where it can light the burner.
