Ordered a replacement holder with a new ceramic igniter and installed it. The new unit would not quite fit correctly on the Metal stand. It took only a couple of minutes with a large file to remove some of the metal on each side of the metal prongs that locate the holder onto the stand. Once done, it was an easy assembly job and works just fine. Due to unknown cause, while cooking dinner one evening, the front glass of the oven completely fractured. Sounded like a small gunshot then there was glass everywhere. I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

I turned off the breaker to the Cook top, I then got under the counter and pushed the cook top through the opening in the counter, placed the cook top over the opening on the counter to stabilize it and then I used a Phillip head screwdriver removed all the screws , lifted the broken glass and put on the new glass, replaced the screws, placed the cook top back into the opening on the counter and turned back on the breaker. Easy fix, this was an identical match to the fan that was in the oven. The only thing missing was the foam strip, that easily came off the old fan assembly and stuck to the new one. The hardest thing was finding the part, and with a picture to verify.
