Rubber door boot seal prevents water leaks between the washer drum and door. Replace if torn, cracked, or leaking during cycles. Confirm fit by model.
I noticed the rubber seal (bellow) was damaged near the bottom of the bellow. It looks like removing clothes from the machine had worn away and eventually ripped away some of the seal. This caused water to leak out the bottom of the door. I looked up the model number of my washer on the web and searched for the part number of the bellow. Once I found it I searched eBay, Amazon and a few other places for the part number and opted for Appliance Parts Pros. The part was reasonably priced and... Read more
Seals the center post/agitator shaft to prevent water leaks during wash cycles. Replace if you notice pooling water under your washer. Confirm fit with your model.
I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. None of the hoses were leaking - no evidence of corrosion or water mineral residue at any of the hose fittings. So, it must have been something else. I studied the parts diagram for the washer tub assembly and concluded the source of the leak almost had to be the outer tub's Centerpost Gasket. It was really the... Read more

In reality, this turned into a full-on rebuild project - with several parts orders, not just a simple repair. But I have to give credit: The parts listings with pictures on the AppliancePartsPros web site were really useful in figuring out what was going on inside the machine, and what parts I would need. Also: The repair videos were critical for me to be able to ensure I was reassembling everything correctly. Shout out to Simon, who was featured in several of the repair videos. His "gorgeous... The Shaft Seal is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This seal is designed to fit around the shaft that connects the tub to the transmission or motor, preventing water from leaking out of the tub and into the machine's internal components. Causes of damage to the Shaft Seal often involve normal wear and tear from regular use, as the constant motion of the shaft can gradually degrade the seal. Symptoms of a bad Shaft Seal include:
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

As a Mechanic, I did the common sense approach: INITIAL OBSERVATIONS & CHECKS: - Unplug Machine & check inlet water hose connections for leaks and signs of hose failure; - Remove back panel & inspect for water presence at all hose connections, pump, bottom of basket (bottom center of basket where the main motor, shaft bearing, and tub seal is located), dispensers, bottom of wash basket, water injector area, look everywhere where there is a hose connection and where water flows... - Inspect... Washer tub seal prevents water leaks between outer tub and inner basket. Replace if you notice leaking from below. Confirm fit with your model number.
This repair was performed on a Whirlpool Cabrio clothes washer Model # WTW5640XW0 which has the digital electronic controls rather than the older style timer, electro/mechanical controls. This washer was made in 2010. Simply having the diagnostic programs on this machine is wonderful and they work remarkably well and led me to the shifter/rpm sensor component straight away. It was a simple replacement by tipping the washer onto its front and accessing through the bottom. The machine was put... Read more

Maintains watertight seal between outer tub and tub ring, preventing leaks during wash and spin cycles. Replace if leaking from top of drum or spin issues.
First off I have to say that Appliance Parts Pro's saved me from hiring a repair person, and quite possibly just getting rid of my washing machine. Their video's helped out SOOOOOOOO much and the advice one of their agents gave me over their online chat helped me trouble shoot something when I got stuck. On top of this they shipped my parts fast enough that less than 12 hrs later they arrived, which allowed me to get my machine up and running way faster than the other options I had available.... Prevents oil leaks from your washer's gearcase and keeps internal components lubricated. Replace if you notice oil pooling under the machine.
Replaced clutch assembly, gearcase input shaft seal and motor coupler. When I disassembled the washer I realized the shaft seal on the top of the gearcase was leaking and not the input shaft seal. So had to order more parts before I could finish this job. Altogether I replaced agitator dogs, both seals on the gearcase, the clutch assembly and the motor coupler. Agitator dogs replacement is a very easy job, no tools required, takes less that 5 minutes and made a huge difference with how well... Read more
Gasket for upper wheel.
With the basket out of the dishwasher, the plastic parts basically snap on and off... popped the broken parts off and the new parts on. The 2 wheel and mount assemblies were a little more complicated. The video on the website advises to disconnect the supply line and drain line... I didn't have to do this. I just pulled the dishwasher out of its cabinet a little over a foot and removed the 2 screws holding each assembly in place and removed them. The previous gaskets (2 PER ASSEMBLY)... Read more
