I've had this dryer apart a few times over the years, always got my parts here. Squeaks and igniter if memory serves. I ordered the two drum rollers that have a bearing in the center..they sit on metal shafts and freeroll. I ordered two..only one was bad but I needed the dryer up in one day, no time to disassemble and decide what to order then wait for parts. I referenced the repair video. Very straightforward and easy. Only need 3 tools: 1/4 and 5/16 nut drivers and Philips head screwdriver. About 15 minute job. Surprising how much lint and dust build up inside the chassis, was able to clean that out too. Read more

Our 19 year old Whirlpool dryer quit heating. After checking the thermal fuse, I found the ignitor electrically open. I bought an ignitor at a local store as there was a national holiday the next day and I did not want the dryer inoperative waiting several days for shipping. Removed two sheet metal screws and lower front panel, removed two sheet metal screws and door panel (disconnected three door switch wires and two light wires - noted the connected position of each wire ); removed three self-tapping screws and black plastic hot air outlet to fan duct from lower end of front bulkhead; removed sheet metal screws and front bulkhead; removed two sheet metal screws from dryer top panel and raised top up and back on rear hinge brackets;... Replaced control board. Did not need Control Thermistor in my case, but I'm keeping it as backup. Got the Drum Belt just in case it breaks on me since the dryer is aging. To replace control board: Disconnect power and pull dryer away from wall. Take 2 black screws on the back off to remove the top lid. Remove 2 screws on top that hold the control interface on. Following the clear video instructions for each part, my handy teenage son was able to remove the lid latch assembly and replace it with the new part as well as the lid switch strike.
