I purchased the lid latch assembly and the lid switch strike. Following the clear video instructions for each part, my handy teenage son was able to remove the lid latch assembly and replace it with the new part as well as the lid switch strike. Replaced the Rollers, Pins, belt and belt tensioner. One thing to keep in mind. In the video it was said that the back and front roller pins were different by lengths. They were the same length for my model. The differences were found to be the rear pins have left handed threads and the front ones were standard right hand threads. Keep that in-mind when you are trying to remove them. Read more

After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I replaced the motor and all other moving components along with the felt drum seals.drum glides and drive belt. The wiring instruction is where i had the most problems. • Too hot

The heating element had a break in the heater coils, so I replaced it with a new one from Appliance Parts Pros. I also replaced the thermal fusible link and thermostat switch because they were so cheap it just made sense to go ahead and do it while I was in there. I also cleaned every nook & cranny in the dryer, then cleaned out the vent piping- which was about 100% clogged. I had to pop the lid up from the front with a screw driver, and behind the element was a metal piece, a heat shield, that had two screws that had to be removed from the back. The little part with the blue round tag (part of the kit that came with the element) was easily removed with one screw. Got the model number off the dryer. Looked it up online. I wanted name brand replacement part. Found this wonderful AppliancePartsPros.com. I replace the old timer with the new one I purchased from appliance parts pros.com I removed the nuts from back of top console of the dryer. Removed the electrical prongs from the old timer and then replace with new timer than plug dryer in wall and started the dryer on timed cycle and the heating elements kicked in and my wife was smiling from ear to ear. I removed the front panel of the dryer and the metal cover over the blower wheel. Removed the lock ring and clamp. Removed the old wheel and placed the new wheel on the shaft. I thoroughly cleaned all the lint around the area and inside the front cover. I resealed the metal cover over the blower and reinstalled the front cover. Dryer works great. Easy fix, I spent more time thoroughly cleaning all the lint. Read more

The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts.
