This snap bushing is a push-in grommet that secures and protects wiring where it passes through sheet metal openings, helping prevent wire chafing and wear. It's a simple replacement that restores proper wire routing and protection. What it does:

  • Holds wiring or harnesses in place at panel openings to prevent rubbing and abrasion
  • Cushions wires against sharp edges to reduce the risk of wire damage and shorts
  • Maintains correct wire routing to prevent pinching when panels are reassembled
  • Common symptom: visible chafed insulation or loose wiring at an opening
What's included:
  • One snap bushing (quantity: 1)
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any work to avoid shock or injury
  • Access the panel or opening where the wiring passes through; remove any retaining screws or clips as needed
  • Press the bushing into the hole until it snaps fully into place, then route the wire through the center
  • Inspect surrounding wire insulation and replace or repair any damaged wiring before reassembly
