Replaced the damper control. It took only 10-15 minutes. Since replacement, the clicking noise has stopped. Very happy with the result. However, want to share that there was probably nothing wrong with the original damper other than the original faulty design. I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. Given all the symptoms, we figured that the control board went out. First, unplug the refrigerator. The control board was easy to access by removing a panel on the back of the fridge. I unplugged all the connectors and used a putty knife to release the board from the plastic retaining clips. There was some browning on the underside of the board and the back of the refrigerator that suggests one of the capacitors on the board blew. Replaced capacitor and starting relay on the compressor in 15 minutes. The problem may have just been the capacitor, but rather than trying that and if it didn't solve the problem i would have had wait for the relay. Read more

I had a slow leak at the water inlet valve where the water line from the filter assembly connected to the water inlet valve. I determine that the water line had scratches in it which caused it to not seal. Had to buy the entire reservoir and filter assembly to get that water line. The replacement was smooth. It took about 30 minutes to swap out and it fixed the leak. Read more

So this is a poor design in the first case. Not having a center support in the back almost guarantees a failure there eventually. I kludged together a support in my original more than a year ago, but finally the part broke too bad to limp along with anymore. This is the part I needed. We turned off the circuit breaker. We then removed the light cover and then the control panel. We disconnected the Keyboard, Utah, plugged in the new one and turned the breaker on to see if everything worked. We realized that we did not need a new jazz board so that is being returned. The old Keyboard was removed, the new one attached and all the parts were put back. The frig works fine now at the recommended settings of zero and 38F. Read more

If the freezer is cold and the fridge is hot, logic would indicate that the fan blowing the cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator is not working. Searched the ApplicancePartsPros.com website for a fan in the freezer compartment and found the video on how to replace one. Followed the steps in the video to get the freezer partially disassembled and found the whole back of the freezer frozen over.
