The Actuator Switch Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool trash compactors. This part activates the compaction cycle when the trash compactor's door is shut and locked, ensuring the unit operates safely and effectively. The actuator switch signals the control system to start the compaction process, an essential step in reducing the volume of waste.

Causes of a malfunctioning actuator switch can include prolonged use leading to mechanical wear, electrical failures within the switch itself, or misalignment issues with the compactor's door. 

Symptoms of a bad Actuator Switch Kit include:

• The compactor fails to start the compaction cycle
