Part Number: 5220FR2006W

The Hot Water Valve is an OEM part for LG washing machines. It regulates the flow of hot water into the wash tub during the appropriate cycles. The valve allows hot water to enter the wash tub to help wash clothes thoroughly and effectively at warmer temperatures.

Causes of a bad hot water valve include mineral or lime buildup inhibiting proper operation, worn internal components due to age and use, or damage from freezing during winter months.

Symptoms of a bad hot water valve include:

  • Only cold water entering the wash tub, even on hot cycles
  • Fluctuating hot water temperature during cycles
  • Leaks from the hot water valve area
  • Inability to select hot water temperature settings

This LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

The remaining uncertainty would reside in the electronic board circuitry. The part arrived on time, and using AppliancePros advice and... Read more
