Ordered the left and right latch, took off the trim ring, unscrewed the door face and removed it, replaced the latches and I was done! The reason these parts are so expensive is because they are METAL, not the cheap original plastic. Read more

3 screws on inside edge of door, then pried it off gently. Removed and cleaned the glass and put it in the new door frame. Put the new frame on the door. Read more

I replaced the keypad entry and it fixed the problem for 24 hours, but then it beeped and entered 0. But is much better than it was. I am an electronics tech and I know through the yrs 2000-2010 there were a rash of bad capacitors produced. I now believe a second board which has these capacitors is the source of the problem. I also believe the second board let voltage spikes through which slowly damaged the keypad board. My goal is to order the capacitors which cost less than a $1 each... Read more

I opened up the microwave where the noise was coming from. I searched the web to confirm this part could be failing and found the part name and number on appliancepartspros.com. I ordered the part on Monday and it was in my mailbox 2 days later. Two screws and two wire connectors later and the old one was out. I installed the replacement part and everything worked great, no more grinding noise. Read more

• Tray won't turn

1) Used tweezers to pick broken plastic fragments out of the hole that contains the metal shaft that mates with the plastic sprocket. 2) Dropped the new plastic sprocket onto the metal shaft, then fit the turntable over it. Removed microwave from the built in cabinet (probably the hardest part) and took off top cover (screws on side and back). Had previously blown the power fuse 2 times in this microwave, so I checked the fuse first using an ohmmeter. This time fuse was good. Traced the power wires around to top side of microwave and saw the overheat "therm" switch.
