Factory mounting screw secures panels, brackets, and internal components in your microwave. Replace if broken, stripped, or missing during repairs.
I replaced the keypad entry and it fixed the problem for 24 hours, but then it beeped and entered 0. But is much better than it was. I am an electronics tech and I know through the yrs 2000-2010 there were a rash of bad capacitors produced. I now believe a second board which has these capacitors is the source of the problem. I also believe the second board let voltage spikes through which slowly damaged the keypad board. My goal is to order the capacitors which cost less than a $1 each... Read more
This is the drive coupling that connects the turntable motor shaft to the glass tray support inside the microwave. It transfers rotational force from the motor to spin the turntable during cooking, ensuring even heat distribution. Replace this coupling if the turntable stops rotating, wobbles excessively, or the motor runs but the glass tray does not turn.
I used the parts diagram at your site and ordered the parts..The parts arrived the day after they were ordered. The repair process was simple and was finished is about fifteen minutes.. Read more
Fixes loud grinding or coffee grinder noise from microwave. Simple DIY repair with 2 screws and wire connectors. Located on top, typically takes under 30 minutes.
I opened up the microwave where the noise was coming from. I searched the web to confirm this part could be failing and found the part name and number on appliancepartspros.com. Microwave shuts down during use? This thermal cutoff thermostat prevents overheating by interrupting power when temperatures exceed safe limits.
My daughter that she turned timer on but hit cook with nothing in the microwave. I was able to figure it was one of the four thermal cutoffs. It was obvious which one literally fried. Replaced that one worked like it was new. Took a lot of photos while dismantling and labeled the screws. Wasn't that hard just be careful of the capacitor Read more
Microwave stopped heating or makes humming noise before shutting off? The high voltage capacitor often fails first. DIY repair in under 30 minutes.
Main Fuse did not open, only fuse for high voltage section was opened. Prior to the fuse blowing a louder than normal hum was heard from microwave for 1-2 seconds prior. Easy fix is the high voltage capacitor, so first checked the voltage across the capacitor terminals to ensure capacitor was discharged. Typically should be reasonably discharged within 30sec-1min assuming drain resistor is still in place. Removed the high voltage cap, and checked the capacitance and did not get a reading.... Microwave shuts off without beeping or won't power on? A failed thermostat often causes overheating shutdowns. This safety switch is moderately easy to replace.
Replace Thermostat on top of cavity. The thermostat is attached via 2 bending sheet metal tabs. Ours blew because the two wires connected to thermostat shorted, connectors melted. The short was caused by buildup of grease under thermal wire cover, shorting both leads. The unit is used heavily. This is the first thermostat to go. I had to replace wire connectors that connected to thermostat as well since the connectors were melted as well. Helpful hint. The grease build up was probably caused by... Read more
This is a plastic support bracket that holds the door interlock switch in the correct position inside the microwave. It ensures the safety switches align properly with the door latch mechanism so the microwave only operates when the door is fully closed. Replace this bracket if your microwave fails to start, runs with the door open, or if the interlock switch is misaligned or loose.
I replaced the two door switch interlocks and cam-plates which appeared to be worn. Before ordering the parts, I did a continuity check on the three door switches and determined that they were OK. While I was replacing the interlocks and cam-plates, I discovered that a piece on one of the cam-plates had broken off and was not making proper contact with the door switch when the door was closed.
