I tried getting this part from my knemore microwave on the Sears site. I chatted with someone, my part was backordered and when it finally came 2 months later it was wrong. So I am out shipping for that one. Then I went to Sears store and no one could help me. Couldn't even find the part on their sketches. Ordered the left and right latch, took off the trim ring, unscrewed the door face and removed it, replaced the latches and I was done! The reason these parts are so expensive is because they are METAL, not the cheap original plastic. Read more

I opened up the microwave where the noise was coming from. I searched the web to confirm this part could be failing and found the part name and number on appliancepartspros.com. I ordered the part on Monday and it was in my mailbox 2 days later. Two screws and two wire connectors later and the old one was out. I installed the replacement part and everything worked great, no more grinding noise. Read more

• Door stuck closed

I took the bottom of the microwave off and removed the old holder. I then matched it to the correct part by model number and serial number. Then I installed the new part. Read more

• Tray won't turn

1) Used tweezers to pick broken plastic fragments out of the hole that contains the metal shaft that mates with the plastic sprocket. 2) Dropped the new plastic sprocket onto the metal shaft, then fit the turntable over it. I replaced the keypad entry and it fixed the problem for 24 hours, but then it beeped and entered 0. But is much better than it was. I am an electronics tech and I know through the yrs 2000-2010 there were a rash of bad capacitors produced. I now believe a second board which has these capacitors is the source of the problem. I also believe the second board let voltage spikes through which slowly damaged the keypad board. My goal is to order the capacitors which cost less than a $1 each... Read more
