This bake element supplies the primary heat from the bottom of the oven during the Bake cycle. Replace it to restore proper preheating and even results when the original is burned out, damaged, or no longer heating. What it does:
- Provides radiant heat for baking and preheating from the lower oven position
- Helps the oven reach and maintain the set temperature for consistent cooking
- Common symptoms: no heat in Bake, very slow preheating, uneven baking, or a visible blister/crack in the element
- Restores normal oven operation when the existing element has failed

Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before servicing
- Remove oven racks; take out the element's mounting screws and gently pull the element forward
- Support and disconnect the two wire terminals; prevent wires from slipping back into the insulation
- Attach wires to the new element, secure with existing hardware, restore power, and test

It took 10 minutes and a screwdriver, remember to turn off power to the oven at the fuse box. By the way, I ordered the part at 1:30pm and received it at 12:30pm the next day using normal shipping, not bad.
