Kenmore Elite refrigerator 795.77542600 Fixed by replacing crisper cover. The purchased crisper cover lacks the printed pictures and text that was present on the front of the original, but it was no big deal. The difficult part of the repair was transferring the (1) plastic humidity adjusters for vegetable/fruit drawer, (2) plastic crisper drawer covers, and (3) metal bar on front underside of crisper cover. I ordered a replacement handle and screws. The process was very easy with the help of one of your "pros" who found all the parts needed and took my order. I didn't realize I was getting both a refrigerator door handle and a freezer door handle in one set, but now we have the freezer handle if we need it. Removing the old handle and installing the replacement was very easy. It looks great, in fact the replacement is metal, whereas the original was plastic, so it looks better than it ever did! Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. You will need a second person to help guide the door back onto the frame. Read more

We (2) covered our 36" white frig in peel & stick stainless. Two challenges: the (fake) "stainless" was 3/16" shorter than 36". I expected, correctly, the material should wrap around the doors until the edges were under the gasket. You find out, when it is heated with a hairdryer, it can shrink or if pushed, it can stretch that disparately needed 3/16". My 10 year old frig door was hanging down to the point it wasnt fully closing and sealing unless you picked up on it. I ordered a lower hinge bracket, upper and lower bearing, and spacer. My bracket was bent down a little due to my kids hanging on the door when looking at the bottom shelf and i discovered my bracket was held on by only two bolts when there was supposed to be three. Bought replacement part, exact fit. 2 screws out, 2 screws in EASY PEEZY. Hardest part was finding my 3/8 socket and waiting for the part which came way faster then expected. This is 2nd time APP saved me. Last time was for a 37 dollar relay that my appliance guy told me was my compressor. He told me to buy a new fridge because he wasn't going to replace the compressor.
