With the help of Wendee and Karen, we finally figured out my model numbers and which parts where correct. I ordered the parts and all arrived the next day except for the Broiler element which arrived in 2 days. I installed the new Baking Element myself. Took longer to figure out which curcuit braker to turn off. In about 30 minutes I had a brand new Baking Element in my oven working perfectly. On the following day, I installed the Broiler Element. I purchased 2 new light rocker switches, Because the heating element rocker switch was unavailable. First I removed the power source for safety. Then I simply pulled each switch out individually with a flathead screwdriver for leverage. I simply unplugged the wires from the old rocker switch, discarded the old rocker, plugged the wires into the new rocker switch, and pushed the new switch appropriately back into the control panel. I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door. Turned off breaker to oven, took pictures of existing broil, supporting bracket and shield attached to oven, removed screws holding element, support piece and shield, removed bracket and shield, pulled out the element, took another close-up picture of the wires connected to element, removed wires, connected new element, turned breaker on to see if connection is correct, turned it off, installed element, shield and support bracket (in this order). The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length. One difficulty was that the threaded base plate where the legs screwed in had been damaged and had to be reshaped, I was able to reshape the sockets with some effort, to allow the legs to thread in, though one remained slightly angled. Ordered new bake element on 01/03/2021 and received on 01/05/2021. Thanks for the expedited service. My husband removed the old bake element and replaced with the new bake element. Took less than 15 minutes to remove and replace. Read more
