This fixed-value resistor is an electrical component used in select dryers to limit current in a specific control circuit. It helps the timer or electronic control operate correctly by dropping voltage to safe, design-intended levels.

Color: white. Measures about 1-1/2 inches in diameter.
This is an easy fix, but Appliance Parts Pros make finding the correct part easy. I looked at many sites to get a new knob, as I was tired of using pliers to start the dryer. The images on the grid are worth their weight in gold! Read more
Connects washer outer tub to drain pump, channeling water out during drain cycle. Replace if cracked, leaking, deteriorated, or damaged by pests.
Simply open the top of the washer by inserting a putty knife (watch YouTube ) and then the front panel by removing two bottom philips head screws on the front. The whole front panel comes right off. Using pliers the spring clams holding each hose, they come off and each hose is replaced. The drain one was only leaking but since it has open I changed both and even the drive belt. Whole job less than 1 hour. BTW parts arrived next day! Read more
Agitator won't move or slips during wash? A worn drive shaft causes weak agitation. This shaft transfers motion from the gearcase to restore firm engagement.
I had to replace the drive shaft and the lower agitator. The motor coupling was also worn out. The repair was challenging because I had to rebuild the gear box. This step was really messy and I had to wait for the liquid gasket to set prior to completing the repair. Cleaning and prep of all of the parts tripled the repair time. Read more
Fix a washer that won't advance cycles, stops mid-cycle, or runs continuously. This control timer regulates wash and spin durations. 30-minute repair.
Replaced timer motor. Hardest part was removing timer knob on this model. You need to access the back of broken timer knob and PULL OUT THE WHITE PIECE THAT LOOKS LIKE THE BACK OF THE KNOB. PULL IT COMPLETELY OUT AND KNOB WILL RELEASE. The rest is easy. Read more
Secures the washer's inner basket to the drive hub, keeping the tub centered and stable during spin. Replace if cracked, corroded, or bolts are damaged.
The seal at the bottom of the tub had started to fail. On large loads water would leak so I ordered a new one rubber seal. Getting the trunnion off the transmission shaft was hard as it was calcified and corroded. I used a wire brush to get some of it off and then used a lot of WD-40. The bolt holding the trunnion plate on sheared off when I tried to remove it on one side and the other came out ok (the bolt hole through the trunnion is not threaded so it should slide out once the plate is off... If your dryer won't shut off or cycles won't advance, the timer may have failed. This control manages drying cycles and run time. DIY repair in 20 minutes.
With a Phillips screw driver, on the back of the control panel there was about 6 or 7 screws to undo, to take the cover off and 2 screws holding the timer in place. Just undone those, took out old timer, made sure I took wires from old timer one at a time, and, put on new timer. Put everything back, although I had to find a couple of very small washers to make the timer fit tight, in the 2 holes it came out of. Luckily I had those or would of been a very loose timer. Very easy to do. Read more

This air duct seal creates a tight barrier between the dryer's lint housing and cabinet. Replacing a worn seal helps prevent air leaks, maintain proper airflow through the lint filter, and restore consistent drying performance.
Pulled front cover off of dryer and back plate to get belt on. Remember to always shut breaker off to machine and test to make sure no electricity is running to it. Pretty simple. I also replaced the seal to the air duct where the lint filter sits since I had to take the front the off anyway. About 1 hr of time to complete and I'll be 60 years old this month. Good thing I didn't have to pull the drum. Read more
This is a factory switch used in the appliance's control/safety circuit. Replacing a worn or failed switch restores reliable signaling so the selected function engages properly and the unit responds consistently to user inputs and status conditions.
I removed two sheet metal screws to remove the panel above the washing machine lid. That exposed four more phillips drive sheet metal screws, after removing those the dashboard control panel is held by two smaller black screws slightly recessed in the lower corners. This allowed the panel to be pulled down from the top, revealing the back of the switch. At this point I took a picture of the wiring connections with my cell phone to make sure I put them on the new switch in the same... Read more

Keep your dryer tumbling smoothly by restoring proper belt tension. This idler spring attaches to the idler arm and maintains tension on the drive belt so the drum turns reliably without slipping or squealing. What it does:
Replacement dryer seal creates a tight barrier between components to prevent leaks and lint buildup. Replace when worn or brittle to stop drips. Verify fit.
Seals on the exhaust were one issue that needed fixing since lint was found inside the cabinet. A roller that holds the drum in place had broken off. And, the drive belt was aged and needed to be replaced as a maintenance item. The only issue I had was with shipment. I ordered overnight shipping but got two crucial item two days later. No communication from AppliancePartsPros.com as to why this was late, though, I paid for faster shipping. Read more

Replacement suspension spring for washer tub support systems. Restores proper tension when original spring is weakened, broken, or causing tub tilt.
Watched a few of your videos and ordered the springs and a insert, and actually got the parts right. I am not a Appliance repair guy but I am retired and I am pretty handy so I thought what the heck. I watched the videos, a lot of common sense, common tools, and plenty of time. My knuckles are busted up and a little blood, but I got it done. Was actually kind of rewarding. Works like a champ. The Videos, ARE AWESOME. Read more
