The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length. Removed back panel in freezer compartment. Held on by four hex head screws. Disconnected wire assembly from panel and then replaced evaporator fan motor on kitchen table. Evaporator fan motor is attached to back side of freezer panel by four hex head screws. Easy repair to do.It took me about 30 minutes to do the repair. Read more

Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. • Door won't open or close

The replacement hinge unit arrived in just two days. The JennAire (Maytag) oven door is fairly typical in that it easily lifts off of the hinge bars. Once the door is off then removing two screws is all that's required to remove the hinge unit from the oven. The new hinge slides up into place and while you hold it up inside of its location putting the old screws back in is very easy. When I pulled out the dryer from the wall, I could see dust/lint had accumulated everywhere and the vent system was compromised. I vacuumed up the dust/lint accumulation outside and then inside the vent system. I then opened the lower cabinet to clean and check its condition. We got the heater core kit. Unplug, undo two screws and pulled old one out. Looking at the old one, put the new one together and then mounted it back in place. Turned on dryer but no heat so unplugged it, tapped on elements, plugged back in and it worked. Not to hard. Read more
